అసాధారణ గర్భాశయ రక్తస్రావం (Abnormal Uterine Bleeding; AUB ), దీనిని అసాధారణ యోని రక్తస్రావం అని కూడా అంటారు, ఇది గర్భాశయం నుండి అసాధారణంగా తరచుగా, ఎక్కువ కాలం పాటు, సాధారణం కంటే ఎక్కువగా, లేదా క్రమరహితంగా జరిగే యోని రక్తస్రావం.[1] అంతర్లీన కారణం ఏదీ లేనప్పుడు డిస్ఫంక్షనల్ యుటెరైన్ బ్లీడింగ్ అనే పదాన్ని ఉపయోగించారు.[3] మెనోపాజ్ తర్వాత యోని రక్తస్రావం సాధారణం కాదు. దీని వల్ల ఐరన్ లోపం అనీమియా సంభవించవచ్చు, జీవన నాణ్యత ప్రతికూలంగా ప్రభావితం కావచ్చు.
అండోత్పత్తి సమస్యలు, ఫైబ్రాయిడ్లు, గర్భాశయ పొర గర్భాశయ గోడలోకి పెరగడం, గర్భాశయ పాలిప్స్, అంతర్లీన రక్తస్రావ సమస్యలు, గర్భనిరోధక మాత్రల దుష్ప్రభావాలు లేదా క్యాన్సర్ వంటివి అంతర్లీన కారణాలుగా ఉండవచ్చు. పరీక్షలో మొదటి దశ కణితి లేదా గర్భం లేదని నిర్ధారించుకోవడం.[3] వైద్య ఇమేజింగ్ వైద్య ఇమేజింగ్ లేదా హిస్టెరోస్కోపీ రోగ నిర్ధారణకు సహాయపడవచ్చు.
అంతర్లీన కారణంపై చికిత్స ఆధారపడి ఉంటుంది.[2][3] హార్మోనల్ గర్భనిరోధకం, గోనాడోట్రోపిన్-రిలీజింగ్ హార్మోన్ (GnRH) అగోనిస్ట్‌లు, ట్రాన్ఎక్సామిక్ యాసిడ్, NSAIDలు, ఎండోమెట్రియల్ అబ్లేషన్ లేదా హిస్టెరెక్టమీ వంటి శస్త్రచికిత్సల ద్వారీ దీనిని నయం చేయవచ్చు.[1][5] AUB సుమారు 20% పునరుత్పత్తి వయస్సు గల మహిళలను ప్రభావితం చేస్తుంది.[2]
