ఇమామ్ పసంద్
హమామ్ మామిడి, హిమాయత్, హిమామ్ పసంద్ అని వివిధ పేర్లతో పిలుచుకునే ఇమామ్ పసంద్ మామిడికాయలు భారతదేశంలో ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్, తెలంగాణ, తమిళనాడు రాష్ట్రాల్లో పండించే ప్రత్యేకమైన మామిడి సాగు. ఈ పేర్లు రీగల్ మూలాలను సూచిస్తాయి, ఇది భారతదేశ రాయల్టీకి ఎంపిక చేసిన ఫలమని చెబుతారు.[1][2]
ఇది మే, జూన్ నెలల్లో మాత్రమే లభిస్తుంది. ప్రతి మామిడికాయ 800 గ్రాముల బరువు వరకు పెరుగుతుంది.[3][4][5]
ఇది దాని ప్రత్యేకమైన రుచికి ప్రాచూర్యం పొందింది. దీనిని 'మామిడి పండ్లలో రాజు' గా పరిగణిస్తారు.[6][7]
ఇమామ్ పసంద్ ముఖ్యంగా మృదువైన తొక్క కలిగి ఉంటుంది, ఇది తినడం సులభం. అయితే, రవాణా చేయడం కష్టతరం అవుతుంది. ఆధునిక రిటైల్ వ్యవస్థలు వాటిని జాగ్రత్తగా ఎలా పొందాలో, పంపిణీ చేయాలో చూసుకుంటున్నాయి. దీని విస్తృత సాగు కారణంగా రిటైల్ దుకాణాలలో లభ్యత పెరిగింది.[8][9][3]
