ఎం.వి. వీరభద్రయ్య (జననం 8 మార్చి 1955) కర్ణాటక రాష్ట్రానికి చెందిన రాజకీయ నాయకుడు. ఆయన 2018 కర్ణాటక శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలలో మధుగిరి శాసనసభ నియోజకవర్గం నుండి ఎమ్మెల్యేగా ఎన్నికయ్యాడు.[1]
ఎం.వి. వీరభద్రయ్య రాజకీయాల్లోకి రాకముందు ఐఎఎస్ అధికారిగా పని చేశాడు.[2][3]
రాజకీయ జీవితం
[మార్చు]ఎం.వి. వీరభద్రయ్య జనతాదళ్ (సెక్యులర్) పార్టీ ద్వారా రాజకీయాల్లోకి వచ్చి పార్టీలో వివిధ హోదాల్లో పని చేసి 2013 కర్ణాటక శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలలో జేడీఎస్ అభ్యర్థిగా పోటీ చేసి తన సమీప ప్రత్యర్థి ఐఎన్సీ అభ్యర్థి కే. ఎన్. రాజన్న చేతిలో 14,427 ఓట్ల తేడాతో ఓడిపోయాడు. ఆయన 2018 శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలలో మధుగిరి శాసనసభ నియోజకవర్గం నుండి జేడీఎస్ అభ్యర్థిగా పోటీ చేసి తన సమీప ప్రత్యర్థి ఐఎన్సీ అభ్యర్థి కే. ఎన్. రాజన్నపై 18,574 ఓట్ల మెజారిటీతో గెలిచి తొలిసారి ఎమ్మెల్యేగా ఎన్నికయ్యాడు.[4][5]
ఎం.వి. వీరభద్రయ్య 2023 శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలలో జేడీఎస్ అభ్యర్థిగా పోటీ చేసి తన సమీప ప్రత్యర్థి ఐఎన్సీ అభ్యర్థి కే. ఎన్. రాజన్న చేతిలో 35,523 ఓట్ల తేడాతో ఓడిపోయాడు.[6]
