ఎ.ఎస్. పొన్నన్న (జననం 1975) కర్ణాటక రాష్ట్రానికి చెందిన రాజకీయ నాయకుడు. ఆయన 2023 శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలలో విరాజ్‌పేట శాసనసభ నియోజకవర్గం నుండి ఎమ్మెల్యేగా ఎన్నికయ్యాడు.[1] ఆయన కర్ణాటక హైకోర్టులో అదనపు అడ్వకేట్ జనరల్ గా పని చేశాడు.[2]
రాజకీయ జీవితం
[మార్చు]ఎ.ఎస్. పొన్నన్న కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ద్వారా రాజకీయాల్లోకి వచ్చి పార్టీలో వివిధ హోదాల్లో పని చేసి 2023 శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలలో విరాజ్‌పేట శాసనసభ నియోజకవర్గం నుండి ఐఎన్‌సీ అభ్యర్థిగా పోటీ చేసి బీజేపీ అభ్యర్థి కె.జి. బోపయ్యపై 4,291 ఓట్ల మెజారిటీతో గెలిచి తొలిసారి ఎమ్మెల్యేగా ఎన్నికయ్యాడు.[3] పొన్నన్నకు 84,879 ఓట్లు రాగా, బీజేపీ అభ్యర్థి కె.జి. బోపయ్యకు 80,466 ఓట్లు వచ్చాయి.[4][5]
