థాయ్ భాష

థాయ్ భాష క్రా-డాయ్ (Kra-Dai) భాషా కుటుంబంలో టాయ్ (Tai) సమూహానికి చెందిన భాష. చారిత్రకంగా దీనిని సియామీస్ అని కూడా పిలుస్తారు. ఈ భాషను థాయ్‌ల్యాండ్ మధ్యభాగంలోని థాయ్, మాన్, లావో వియాంగ్ ప్రజలు, ఇంకా దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ఉన్న థాయ్ లోని స్వదేశీ చైనీస్ ప్రాంతాలలో వాడతారు. ఇది థాయిలాండ్ దేశపు ఏకైక అధికారిక భాష.^[1]^[2] థాయ్‌లాండ్ మొత్తం 60కి పైగా మాట్లాడే భాషలలో దీనిదే అగ్రస్థానం. ఈ భాషలోని సగం పదజాలం పాళీ, సంస్కృతం, మాన్,^[3] పాత ఖ్మేర్ భాషల నుంచి ఉత్పన్నమైనవి లేదా దిగుమతి చేసుకోబడ్డది. టెలివిజన్, విద్యారంగం, వార్తలు మొదలైన మాధ్యమాలలో ప్రామాణిక థాయ్ భాష వాడతారు. ప్రాంతాల వారీగా మాట్లాడే యాసలు కూడా ఉన్నాయి. ఇంకా దీని సంబంధిత టాయ్ (Tai) భాషలు కూడా ఉన్నాయి. భాషా శాస్త్రవేత్తలు వీటిని థాయ్ భాషకు దగ్గరగా ఉండే వేరే భాషలుగా గుర్తించినప్పటికీ వీటిని మాట్లాడేవారు మాత్రం థాయ్ భాషకు మరో యాసగానే పరిగణిస్తారు.^[4] సమాజంలో ప్రామాణిక థాయ్ భాష అన్ని రంగాల్లో చలామణీలో ఉండటం వల్ల ఆయుత్తాయ రాజ్య కాలం నుంచే దేశంలోని వివిధ అల్పసంఖ్యాక వర్గాలు కూడా దీన్నే తమ రెండవ భాషగా మార్చుకున్నారు.^[5]^[6]
