థియోఫిలిన్ (Theophylline, also known as 1,3-dimethylxanthine) ఒక మిథైల్ జాంథిన్ వర్గానికి చెందిన మందు. దీనిని ఎక్కువగా ఊపిరితిత్తులకు సంబంధించిన ఆస్తమా వంటి వ్యాధులలో ఉపయోగిస్తారు. ఇది నిర్మాణాత్మకంగా కెఫీన్ (caffeine) సరిపోలి వుంటుంది.
థియోఫిలిన్ ప్రకృతిసిద్ధంగా కోకో గింజలలో ఉంటుంది. వీనిలో సుమారు 3.7 mg/g మాత్రమే వుంటుంది.[1]
కొద్ది పరిమాణాల్లో థియోఫిలిన్ కాచిన టీలో కూడా వుంటుంది. ఇందులో సుమారుగా 1 mg/L,[2] వుంటుంది.
