పరనుర్ రైల్వే స్టేషను చెన్నై సబర్బన్ రైల్వే నెట్వర్క్ లోని చెన్నై బీచ్ - చెంగల్పట్టు సెక్షన్ నందలి రైల్వే స్టేషన్లలో ఒకటి. ఇది పరనూర్ , న్యూ చెన్నై యొక్క పొరుగున, పరిసర ప్రాంతాలలోని ప్రజలకు సేవలు అందిస్తున్నది. ఇది చెన్నై బీచ్ నుండి సుమారు 55 కి.మీ.ల దూరంలో, సముద్ర స్థాయికి 42 మీటర్ల పైన ఎత్తులో ఉంది.
The station is noted for its maintenance by a public–private partnership between Mahindra World City Developers (MWCD) and the Indian Railways, reportedly the first of its kind in the country. MWCD gave the station a makeover after Mahindra World City, an integrated business zone, was developed in the neighbourhood.[2]
చరిత్ర[మార్చు]
తాంబరం-చెంగల్పట్టు విభాగం విద్యుద్దీకరణలో భాగంగా ఈ స్టేషన్ వద్ద ఉన్న రైలు మార్గములు 9 జనవరి 1965 సం.న విద్యుద్దీకరణ చేశారు. అన్ని మార్గాలు 25 KVAC గా 15 జనవరి 1967 నాటికి మార్చబడ్డాయి.[1]
స్టేషను[మార్చు]
MWCD developed the station at a cost of ₹ 15 million. It also maintains the station. The project includes building and maintenance of the main structure including the ticket counter, waiting room and toilets, fountains, platforms, foot over-bridge, and landscaped stretches of land around the station and near the tracks.[2]
The station is designed by Shilpa Architects.

The station serves around 20,000 commuters every day. About 40 percent of MWCD's workforce uses the station.[2]
