పరమ విశిష్ట సేవా పతక గ్రహీతలు (1960-1969)
పరమ విశిష్ట సేవా పతకం (IAST: Parama Viśiṣṭa Sēvā) భారత సాయుధ దళాలకు చెందిన అత్యున్నత శాంతి పతకం,[1] ఇది "అత్యంత అసాధారణమైన విశిష్ట సేవకు" గాను అందించబడుతుంది.[2][3] ఈ పతకాన్ని 1960 గణతంత్ర దినోత్సవం నాడు విశిష్ట సేవా పతకం యొక్క అత్యున్నత విభాగంగా, "సాయుధ దళాల సిబ్బంది అందించిన విశిష్ట సేవలను" గుర్తించే ఉద్దేశంతో స్థాపించారు.[3] సాయుధ దళాలలోని అన్ని హోదాల వారు ఈ పతకానికి అర్హులు, దీనిని ఒకటి కంటే ఎక్కువసార్లు, మరణానంతరం కూడా ప్రదానం చేయవచ్చు.[2]
ప్రారంభంలో, దీనిని విశిష్ట సేవా పతకం (క్లాస్ I) గా పిలిచేవారు. 1967 జనవరి 27న దీనికి ప్రస్తుత పేరు పెట్టారు. గ్రహీతల పేర్ల వెనుక చేర్చే సంక్షిప్త పదాలకు 1967 ఆగస్టు 19న ఆమోదం లభించింది.[4]
