బహ్రైచ్ జిల్లా ప్రాంతం అవధ్లో భాగంగా ఉంది. జిల్లా నాంపరా సాంరాజ్యంలో భాగంగా ఉండేది. అరణ్యప్రాంతంతో కూడిన 100 గ్రామాల కంటే అధికంగా ఉన్న ఈ ప్రాంతాన్ని కొంతమంది వంసనుగత రాజుల పాలనలో ఉండేది. దివంగత రాజా సదత్ ఈ ప్రాంతంలో ప్రధానశాలలు మరియు విద్యాభివృద్ధికి కృషిచేసాడు.
