ఉత్తర ప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర 72 జిల్లాలలో లలిత్‌పూర్ జిల్లా (హిందీ:ललितपुर जिला) ఒకటి. లలిత్‌పూర్ పట్టణం జిల్లాకేంద్రంగా ఉంది. లలిత్‌పూర్ జిల్లా ఝాంసీ డివిషన్‌లో భాగంగా ఉంది. జిల్లావైశాల్యం 5,039 చ.కి.మీ. జిల్లా ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర బుండేల్‌ఖండ్ భూభాగంలో ఉంది. లలిత్‌పూర్ పట్టణం భౌగోళికంగా హృదయాకారంలో ఉంటుంది. 24°11' నుండి 25°14' డిగ్రీల ఉత్తర అక్షాంశం మరియు 78°10' నుండి 79°0' తూర్పు రేఖాంశంలో ఉంది. 2001 గణాంకాలను అనుసరించి జిల్లా జనసంఖ్య 977,447.1974 లో ఈ జిల్లా రూపొందించబడింది.

ఈ జిల్లా బుండేల్ఖండ్ కొండప్రాంతంలో ఉంది. జిల్లాకు దక్షింంలో ఉన్న వింద్యపర్వతశ్రేణి నుండి యమునా నది ఉపనదులు ప్రవహిస్తున్నాయి. దక్షీణ సరిహద్దులో సమాంతరంగా పర్వతశ్రేణి ఉంది. మధ్యలో ఉన్న లోయలలో గ్రానైట్ మరియు క్వార్టేజ్ శిలల మీదుగా నదీప్రవాహాలు సాగుతున్నాయి. ఉత్తర భూభాగంలో గ్రానైట్ పర్వతశ్రేణి క్రమంగా చిన్న పర్వత సమూహాలుగా మారాయి.

నదులు

బెత్వానది జిల్లాకు ఉత్తర మరియు పశ్చిమ సరిహద్దులను ఏర్పరుస్తుంది. దాసన్ నది జిల్లాకు ఆగ్నేయ సరిహద్దును ఏర్పరుస్తుంది. జిల్లా ఆగ్నేయ భూభాగంలో దాసన్ వాటర్ షెడ్ ఉంది.

చరిత్ర

ప్రస్తుత లలిత్‌పూర్ జిల్లా భూభాగం చందేరీ రాజ్యంలో భాగంగా ఉండేది. చందేరీ రాజ్యం 17వ శతాబ్ధంలో బుండేరీ రాజపుత్రులచేత స్థాపించబడింది. అర్చా రాజు ప్రతాప్‌సింగ్ బుండేలు రాజపుత్రులు రాజా రుద్రప్రతాప్ సంతతికి చెందినవారు. 18 వశతాబ్ధంలో చెందేరీ ప్రాంతంతో చేర్చి బుండేల్ రాజ్యంలో అధికభాగం మరాఠీ పాలకుల వశం అయింది. గ్వాలియర్ రాజు దౌలత్ రావు సింధియా 1812 లో చందేరీ రాజ్యాన్ని తన రాజ్యంతో విలీనం చేసుకున్నాడు. 1844 లో చెందేరి భూభాగం బ్రిటిష్ ఇండియాకు ఇవ్వబడింది. తరువాత చందేరి భూభాగం లలిత్‌పూర్ కేంద్రంగా జిల్లా చేయబడింది. 1857 తిరుగుబాటు తరువాత చందేరీ భూభాగం మీద అధికారం బ్రిటిష్ ఇండియా వదులుకుంది. 1858 వరకు ఇది కొనసాగింది. 1861 లో బ్రిటిష్ ఇండియా చందేరీ పశ్చిమ భూభాగాన్ని గ్వాలియర్‌కు తిరిగి ఇచ్చింది. మిగిలిన భూభాగం లలిత్‌పూర్ జిల్లాగా చేయబడింది.[1] 1894 - 1974 వరకు లలిత్‌పూర్ ఝాంసీ జిల్లాలో భాగంగా ఉంది. తరువాత లలిత్‌పూర్ ప్రత్యేక జిల్లాగా రూపొందింది.

ఆర్ధికం

2006 గణాంకాలను అనుసరించి పచాయితీ రాజ్ మంత్రిత్వశాఖ భారతదేశ జిల్లాలు (640) లో వెనుకబడిన 250 జిల్లాలలో జిల్లా ఒకటి అని గుర్తించింది.[2] బ్యాక్‌వర్డ్ రీజన్ గ్రాంటు ఫండు నుండి నిధులను అందుకుంటున్న ఉత్తరప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర 34 జిల్లాలలో ఈ జిల్లా ఒకటి..[2]
