దేశం (ఆంగ్లం : Country), భూగోళికం, అంతర్జాతీయ రాజకీయాలులో దేశం అనగా ఒక భౌగోళిక ప్రాంతపు రాజకీయ భాగం. సాధారణ ఉపయోగంలో ఒక రాజ్యం లేదా దేశం, ప్రభుత్వం యొక్క సార్వభౌమ ప్రాంతం.
సాధారణ ఉపయోగంలో దేశం (nation), రాజ్యం (state) ఒకే విషయాన్ని స్ఫురణకు తెస్తాయి. వీటిని విభిన్న సమయాల్లో విభిన్న భావాలను ద్యోతకం చేయడానికి ఉపయోగిస్తాము.[1][2]
