మానేరు నది లేదా "మానైర్" లేదా మానేరు" భారతదేశంలోని గోదావరి నదికి ఉపనది[1]. మానేరునది సిరిసిల్ల డివిజన్‌లో ప్రారంభం కాగా దీనిపై గంభీరావుపేట్ వద్ద ఎగువ మానేరు డ్యామ్, మధ్య మానేరు డ్యామ్ లను, కరీంనగర్ వద్ద దిగువ మానేరు డ్యామ్ నిర్మించారు. అనంతరం ఈ నది గోదావరిలో కలుస్తుంది.[2] దిగువ మానేరు డ్యామ్ తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రం లోని కరీంనగర్ ప్రజలకు త్రాగునీటిని అందిస్తుంది. ఇది 163.000 హెక్టార్లకు (400,000 ఎకరాల) సాగు నీటిని అందించడమేకాకుండా మత్స్య పరిశ్రమకు, త్రాగునీటి సరఫరా వంటి ప్రయోజనాలను కూడా అందిస్తుంది.
