బిద్యా దేవీ భండారీ
బిద్యా దేవీ భండారీ( జననం 19 జూన్ 1961)రెండవ, ప్రస్తుత నేపాల్ రాష్ట్రపతి. ఆమె 2015లో ఎన్నికయ్యారు. ఆ దేశానికి మొట్టమొదటి మహిళా రాష్ట్రపతి కూడా బిద్యానే కావడం విశేషం.[1][2][3] కమ్యూనిస్ట్ పార్టీ ఆఫ్ నేపాల్ కు ఆమె వైస్ చైర్మన్ గా వ్యవహరించారు.[4][5] 28 అక్టోబరు 2015న రాష్ట్రపతిగా ఎన్నిక కాక ముందు బిద్యా ఆల్ నేపాల్ ఉమెన్ అసోసియేషన్ కు చైర్ పర్సన్ గా పనిచేశారు.[6] 549 పార్లమెంటరరీ ఓట్లలో, తన ప్రత్యర్ధి కుల్ బహదుర్ గురుంగ్ పై 327 ఓట్లు సంపాదించుకుని రాష్ట్రపతిగా ఎన్నికయారు. 2016లో ఫోర్బ్స్ ప్రపంచ 100 శక్తివంతమైన మహిళల జాబితాలో 52వ స్థానంలో నిలిచారు బిద్యా.[7] అంతకుముందు నేపాల్ ప్రభుత్వంలో రక్షణ శాఖా మంత్రిగా కూడా పనిచేశారు ఆమె. ఈ పదవిని చేపట్టిన మొదటి మహిళ బిద్యా.[8][9][10] 1990వ దశకంలో పర్యావరణ, జనాభ శాఖా మంత్రిగా కూడా బిద్యా వ్యవహరించారు.[11]
