బొంగైగావ్ జిల్లా (అస్సామీ: বঙাইগাওঁ জিলা) అస్సాం రాష్ట్రం లోని ఒక జిల్లా. బొంగైగావ్ జిల్లాకేంద్రంగా ఉంది. జిల్లా వైశాల్యం 2510చ.కి.మీ.

చరిత్ర[మార్చు]

బొంగైగావ్ జిల్లా 1989లో గోల్‌పారా, కోక్రఝార్ జిల్లా నుండి కొంత భూభాగం వేరుచేయుట ద్వారా ఏర్పడింది.[1] 2004లో ఈ జిల్లా నుండి కొంత భూభాగం వేరుచేసి చిరంగ్ జిల్లా ఏర్పాటు చేయబడింది.[1]

భౌగోళికం[మార్చు]

బొంగైగావ్ జిల్లా వైశాల్యం 172 చ.కి.మీ.[2] వైశాల్యపరంగా ఈ జిల్లా రియూనియన్‌కు సమానం.[3] బొంగైగావ్ జిల్లా తూర్పు సరిహద్దులో బార్పేట జిల్లా జిల్లా, దక్షిణ సరిహద్దులో బ్రహ్మపుత్ర, ఉత్తర సరిహద్దులో కోక్రఝార్ జిల్లాలు ఉన్నాయి.

ఆర్ధికం[మార్చు]

2006 గణాంకాలను అనుసరించి పంచాయితీ రాజ్ మంత్రిత్వశాఖ, భారతదేశ జిల్లాలు (640) లో వెనుకబడిన 250 జిల్లాలలో ఈ జిల్లా ఒకటిగా గుర్తించింది [4]. బ్యాక్‌వర్డ్ రీజన్ గ్రాంటు ఫండు నుండి నిధులను అందుకుంటున్న అస్సాం రాష్ట్ర 11 జిల్లాలలో ఈ జిల్లా ఒకటి.[4]

విభాగాలు[మార్చు]

  • జిల్లా 3 ఉపవిభాగాలుగా విభజించబడింది: బిజ్ని, బొంగైగావ్, నార్త్ సల్మర.
  • 2004లో బొంగైగావ్ జిల్లాలోని కొంతభాగం చిరంగ్ జిల్లాలో (బోడోలాండ్ భూభాగంలో ఉంది) చేర్చబడింది. (జిల్లా కేంద్రం కాజల్‌గయాన్).
