మామా నతుంగ్ అరుణాచల్ ప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్రానికి చెందిన రాజకీయ నాయకుడు. ఆయన అరుణాచల్ ప్రదేశ్ శాసనసభకు సెప్ప వెస్ట్ శాసనసభ నియోజకవర్గం నుండి మూడుసార్లు ఎమ్మెల్యేగా ఎన్నికై 2024 జూన్ 13 నుండి హోమ్ మంత్రిగా పని చేస్తున్నాడు.[1]
రాజకీయ జీవితం
[మార్చు]మామా నతుంగ్ భారత జాతీయ కాంగ్రెస్ పార్టీ ద్వారా రాజకీయాల్లోకి వచ్చి పార్టీలో వివిధ హోదాల్లో పని చేసి 2014 అరుణాచల్ ప్రదేశ్ శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలలో సెప్ప వెస్ట్ శాసనసభ నియోజకవర్గం నుండి ఐఎన్సీ అభ్యర్థిగా పోటీ చేసి ఏకగ్రీవంగా ఎన్నికై తొలిసారి ఎమ్మెల్యేగా ఎన్నికయ్యాడు.[2][3][4][5][6] ఆయన ఆ తరువాత భారతీయ జనతా పార్టీలో చేరి 2019 అరుణాచల్ ప్రదేశ్ శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలలో బీజేపీ అభ్యర్థిగా పోటీ చేసి తన సమీప ప్రత్యర్థి జనతాదళ్ (యునైటెడ్) అభ్యర్థి టాని లోఫాపై 1,554 ఓట్ల మెజారిటీతో గెలిచి రెండోసారి ఎమ్మెల్యేగా ఎన్నికై 2019 మే 29 నుండి 2024 జూన్ 12 వరకు క్రీడా & అటవీ శాఖ మంత్రిగా పని చేశాడు.[7][8]
మామా నతుంగ్ 2024 అరుణాచల్ ప్రదేశ్ శాసనసభ ఎన్నికలలో బీజేపీ అభ్యర్థిగా పోటీ చేసి తన సమీప ప్రత్యర్థి ఎన్పిపి అభ్యర్థి టాని లోఫాపై 1,249 ఓట్ల మెజారిటీతో గెలిచి మూడోసారి ఎమ్మెల్యేగా ఎన్నికై,[9][10] 2024 జూన్ 13 నుండి హోమ్ మంత్రిగా పని చేస్తున్నాడు.[11]
