Usage
[మార్చు]- Use this redirect category (Rcat) template for any redirect that is the scientific name and targets the common name. Place this Rcat on a redirect in the following manner:
#REDIRECT [[(target article title)]] {{R from scientific name}}
- This is in accord with instructions found at Wikipedia:REDCAT.
- Template {{This is a redirect}} may also be used to add this and other appropriate Rcats to a redirect.
- This Rcat automatically populates the categories Redirects from scientific names and Printworthy redirects. At some point in the future, Jimmy Wales wants to make a printed version of the full Wikipedia encyclopedia, and scientific nomenclature is suitable for a printed version, or in other words, scientific names are "printworthy".
- This template is used only for scientific names. If the redirect is a molecular formula, such as "H2O", then use {{R from molecular formula}} instead.
