తొలినాళ్ళ జీవితం
[మార్చు]చండీగఢ్ లో జన్మించిన ఢాకా కార్మెల్ కాన్వెంట్ పాఠశాలలో, ఆ తర్వాత చండీగఢ్ లోని గవర్నమెంట్ కాలేజ్ ఫర్ గర్ల్స్ లో చదువుకున్నారు.[1] ఆమె కుటుంబం ఢిల్లీకి మారిన తరువాత, ఆమె తండ్రి ఆమెను ఫ్యాషన్ డిజైన్ కోర్సులో చేర్పించారు. ఆమె 18 సంవత్సరాల వయస్సులో, దుస్తుల ఎగుమతిదారు ఇంటర్క్రాఫ్ట్లో శిక్షణ పొందింది. ఆమె తన ఫ్యాషన్ లైన్ ను రోహిత్ ఖోస్లా అటెలియర్ లో ప్రారంభించింది.[2]
కెరీర్
[మార్చు]ఢాకా 1980 లలో మోడల్ గా ఫ్యాషన్ పరిశ్రమలో ప్రారంభమైంది,[3] 1990 లలో ఆమె స్పాండెక్స్ నుండి తయారు చేసిన చుడీదార్ ను రూపొందించింది.[2][4] 2009 లో, ఆమె మహిళా బీచ్వేర్ను సృష్టించిన డిజైనర్ల బృందంలో భాగంగా ఉంది, ఇది భారతదేశంలో ఉపయోగించడానికి తగినది కాదని విమర్శించబడింది.[5] జూలై 2010 లో, ఆమె భారతీయ నటి లారా దత్తా ప్రమోట్ చేసిన కోబ్వెబ్స్ నుండి ప్రేరణ పొందిన సేకరణను ప్రారంభించింది.[6] 2012 లో, ఢాకా భారతీయ కాఫీ షాప్ గొలుసు బరిస్టా లావాజా కోసం మెనూలు, మెనూ కార్డులు, యూనిఫాంలు, స్టోర్ ఇంటీరియర్లను పునరుద్ధరించింది. 2018 లో, ఢాకా జెడి ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ ఫ్యాషన్ టెక్నాలజీలో స్టూడెంట్ మెంటార్గా ఉన్నారు.[6] 2019 లో, ఆమె ఒక ప్లస్-సైజ్ స్టోర్తో కలిసి,[7] ప్రసూతి దుస్తుల సేకరణను ప్రారంభించింది. 2020 లో, ఢాకా సస్టెయినబుల్ రొమాంటిసిజం సేకరణ కోసం సుస్థిర తయారీదారు లివాతో కలిసి పనిచేసింది. 2021 లో, ఢాకా రుమా దేవుతో కలిసి గిరిజన ఫ్యాషన్ షోను నిర్వహించింది.[8][9]

నవోమి క్యాంప్ బెల్, ఉమా థర్మన్, లారా దత్తా వంటి ప్రముఖులు ఢాకా డిజైన్లను ధరించారు, వీటిని పారిస్ లోని లౌవ్రే, న్యూయార్క్ నగరంలోని మెట్రోపాలిటన్ మ్యూజియం ఆఫ్ ఆర్ట్ లో ప్రదర్శించారు.[7]
ఢాకా ఢిల్లీలోని ఒక స్వచ్ఛంద సంస్థలో "రేషన్ పంపిణీ జరిగేలా చూసుకుంటుంది" కోసం పనిచేసింది.[2]
బాలీవుడ్ చిత్రం సందీప్ ఔర్ పింకీ ఫరార్ లో ఢాకా తనే కనిపిస్తుంది. ఆమె సుస్థిర అభివృద్ధి కోసం న్యాయవాది, పీపుల్ ఫర్ ది ఎథికల్ ట్రీట్మెంట్ ఆఫ్ యానిమల్స్ (పెటా) ఇండియాకు అంబాసిడర్, జంతు క్రూరత్వానికి వ్యతిరేకంగా చట్టాలు, పాలన కోసం వాదిస్తున్నారు.[14]

అవార్డులు
[మార్చు]ఢాకా 1993లో యువ రతన్ అవార్డును గెలుచుకుంది. 2004లో మియామి ఫ్యాషన్ వీక్ లో డిజైనర్ ఛాయిస్ అవార్డు గెలుచుకుంది. 2014 లో ఢిల్లీ మాజీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి షీలా దీక్షిత్ చేతుల మీదుగా ఢాకా ఉత్తమ మహిళా పారిశ్రామికవేత్త బిరుదును ఢిల్లీ రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం ప్రదానం చేసింది. 2015 లో, ఇండియన్ బ్రైడల్ ఫ్యాషన్ వీక్ కోసం, ఆమె షమితాబ్ చిత్రంతో బాలీవుడ్ అరంగేట్రం చేసిన అప్ కమింగ్ స్టార్ అక్షర హాసన్ ను నటించింది.
ఢాకా 2017లో రాజీవ్ గాంధీ ఎక్సలెన్స్ అవార్డును అందుకుంది.[16] ఆమె 2018 లో 'ఎక్స్ప్లోరర్ స్ప్రింగ్ సమ్మర్'ను ఆవిష్కరించింది, ఇందులో బాలీవుడ్ నటి నిధి అగర్వాల్ షోస్టాపర్గా ర్యాంప్పై నడిచింది. 2019లో లండన్లో మహాత్మాగాంధీ 150వ జయంతిని పురస్కరించుకుని నిర్వహించిన భారత్ సదస్సులో ఆమె గౌరవ సభ్యురాలిగా వ్యవహరించారు.[17] ఫ్యాషన్ అభివృద్ధికి భారత సమాఖ్య గుర్తింపుగా ఆమె 11 వ ఇండియా రన్ వే వీక్ ను ప్రారంభించింది.
