వికీపీడియా:సీఐఎస్-ఎ2కె/2018 జూలై-2019 జూన్ కార్యప్రణాళిక ప్రధానాంశాలు

వచ్చే 2018 జూలై 1 నుంచి 2019 జూన్ 30 తేదీల కార్యప్రణాళిక సంవత్సరానికి, సీఐఎస్-ఎ2కె భారత ఉపఖండంలో మరింతగా కలుపుకుని సమిష్టిగా ముందుకుసాగే (ఇన్‌క్లూజివ్) వికీ వాతావరణం కల్పించేందుకు కృషిచేస్తుంది. సురక్షితమైన తావులు ఏర్పరచడం, మహిళలకు సంబంధించిన అంశాలు, మహిళల భాగస్వామ్యం వంటివి పెంపొందించే జెండర్ గ్యాప్ బ్రిడ్జింగ్ కార్యకలాపాలు పెంపు వంటివాటిపై ప్రత్యేక శ్రద్ధ వహిస్తూ ఏ2కె టీం మొత్తం అన్ని భారతీయ సముదాయాలతోనూ, ప్రాజెక్టులతోనూ, వ్యక్తుతోనూ ఆసక్తికరమైన ఐడియాలతో వికీమీడియా ఉద్యమం పూర్తిస్థాయి అభివృద్ధి కోసం పనిచేయాలని ఆశిస్తోంది. వికీమీడియా ఉద్యమపు వ్యూహాత్మక మార్గంలో సాగుతూ ఏ2కె టీం సామాజిక న్యాయాన్ని పున:పంపిణీ చేయడంలో మార్పు కారకంగా విజ్ఞానాన్ని వృద్ధిచేసే కార్యకలాపాలు నిర్వహించేందుకు ప్రతిపాదిస్తోంది. వచ్చే ప్రణాళికా సంవత్సరంలో భారతీయ సముదాయాలు, ప్రాజెక్టుల అభివృద్ధి, స్థిరత్వాలకు ఉపకరించే నాలుగు కీలకమైన రంగాల్లో ఏ2కె టీం పనిచేయనుంది.

సీఐఎస్-ఎ2కె తమ వనరులను సమాచారాభివృద్ధి, నైపుణ్యాభివృద్ధి ప్రయత్నాల నిర్వహణ, మద్దతు, స్థిరమైన భాగస్వామ్యాల ఏర్పాటు, భారతీయ వికీమీడియన్లలో నాయకత్వ అభివృద్ధి అన్న నాలుగు రంగాలకు వినియోగిస్తుంది. ఈ లక్ష్యాలను సాధించడానికి మూడు అంశాల వ్యూహాన్ని స్వీకరిస్తుంది:

• ఐడియాలపై పెట్టుబడి: భారతీయ వికీమీడియా సముదాయాలకు పాఠకుల సంఖ్యను పెంచడానికి, కొత్తవారిని నిలపగలగడానికి (రిటెన్షన్) చాలా ఆసక్తికరమైన ఆలోచనలు, ప్రణాళికలు ఉన్నాయి. 'లోతైన వ్యక్తిగత వికీ శిక్షణ' (ఇంటెన్సివ్ పర్సనల్ వికీ ట్రైనింగ్) వంటి కొత్త ఆలోచనలపై ప్రయోగాత్మకంగా పనిచేయస్తుంది కూడాను.
• కొనసాగింపుపై దృష్టి: కృషిని కొనసాగేలా చేయడానికి కొత్తవారికీ, ప్రస్తుత వికీపీడియన్లకు మద్దతు అందించడం అన్నది నిజంగా చాలా ముఖ్యం. ఈ లక్ష్యాన్ని సాధించడానికి సీఐఎస్-ఎ2కె వికీపీడియా కార్యశాలలు, వికీడేటా కార్యశాలలు, ట్రైన్-ద-ట్రైనర్, సాంకేతిక శిక్షణ, వికీసోర్సు కాన్ఫరెన్సు వంటి వరుస కార్యక్రమాల నిర్వహణ చేస్తుంది.
• గత కార్యక్రమాల పునాదిపై నిర్మాణం: గత సంవత్సరాల్లో సీఐఎస్-ఎ2కె ట్రైన్ ద ట్రైనర్, మీడియా వికీ ట్రైనింగ్ వంటి పలు కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహించడం, మద్దతునివ్వడం చేసింది. ఈ కార్యక్రమాలు మా సామర్థ్యాలపై నిర్మితమవుతూ, బెస్ట్ ప్రాక్టీసులు అవుతాయి.

సీఐఎస్-ఎ2కె కొనసాగేవారి నిష్పత్తి మెరుగుపరిచేందుకు పనిచేస్తుంది, అందుకు కార్యక్రమాలలోనే వాడుకరులు, చదువరులు వికీమీడియా ప్రాజెక్టులతో కొనసాగేందుకు తగ్గ అంతర్గత వ్యూహం ఉండేలా రూపకల్పన చేస్తుంది.

ఈ ప్రణాళిక ఈ కింది ఇన్ఫో‌గ్రాఫిక్ ప్రతిబింబిస్తోంది, దీనిలో నాలుగు అంశాలు, కొన్ని కార్యక్రమాలు ప్రస్తావించాం:

అవసరాల మదింపు

సీఐఎస్-ఎ2కె కార్యప్రణాళిక రాయడానికి ముందు విస్తారంగా సముదాయ సంప్రదింపు చేసే సత్సంప్రదాయాన్ని కొనసాగిస్తోంది. ఈ ఏడాది విజయవంతంగా 196 మంది వికీపీడియన్లను చేరుకోగలిగాం. వారు ప్రాజెక్టుల ప్రస్తుత స్థితి, అభివృద్ధి చేయాల్సిన నైపుణ్యాలు, సామర్థ్యాలు, భారతీయ వికీమీడియా ప్రాజెక్టులు సాగాల్సిన దిశ, వంటి అనేకాంశాలపై తమ సూచనలు, సలహాలు అందించారు. నైపుణ్యాభివృద్ధి అంశం సంబంధించి చేపట్టిన సర్వేలో 92 మంది భారతీయ వికీమీడియన్లను చేరుకోగా, వారిలో 35 మంది సర్వేకు ప్రతిస్పందించారు.

సీఐఎస్-ఎ2కె ప్రధానంగా నిర్వహించే అవసరాల మదింపు కాకుండా, మేం భారతీయ వికీపీడియన్ల నుంచి ఫీడ్‌బాక్ అందుకునేందుకు ఇతర యంత్రాంగాలను వినియోగించుకున్నాం:

భారతీయ భాషల వికీపీడియా సముదాయాలకు మద్దతు ప్రాజెక్టు కోసం నిర్వహించిన అవసరాల మదింపు

ఏ2కె భారతీయ వికీమీడియా సముదాయాలతో మేం చేసిన చర్చల్లో వివిధ సూచనలు అందుకుంది, వాటిలో కొన్ని ఇలా ఉన్నాయి:

• కార్యక్రమాలను మరింత తరచుగా నిర్వహించండి
• సంస్థాగత భాగస్వామ్యాల విషయమై చేసే చర్చలకు సంధానం చేయడం
• అంతర్జాతీయ కార్యక్రమాలలో పాల్గొనేందుకు వికీమీడియన్లకు మద్దతునివ్వడం

వివిధ నేపథ్యాల నుంచి వచ్చే వాడుకరులను ప్రోత్సహించాలి. క్రౌడ్ సోర్సింగ్ అంశాలు, విజ్ఞాన సర్వస్వ శైలి, తటస్థ దృక్కోణం ప్రాముఖ్యత వంటివాటి పట్ల ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి అవసరం.	మొబైల్ ప్లాట్‌ఫాంలో వాస్తవాలను నిగ్గుతేల్చేందుకు, సైటేషన్లకు, సమాచారం ఖచ్చితత్వం పరిశీలించేందుకు ఉపకరణాలు కావాలి	A2K must work with rural, semi urban schools and popularise Marathi Wikimedia projects as learning platform	Facilitate regular meetings and discussions among Indic Wiki communities	Inter language and Inter Wiki Collaborations.

Programs

Content Enrichment

An analysis of pageviews of Indic Wikipedia projects indicate that there is high traffic looking for content in Indian languages. In many cases the readers are disappointed because of poor and lack of content, biased non-reliable information. It is our responsibility to improve content on Indic Wikimedia projects. We would conduct and support a series of Wiki-events which will help to produce quality-content. CIS-A2K will continue to scale up earlier attempts and projects that resulted in improving content and quality. We will also collaborate with groups of varied backgrounds to encourage diversity. This year CIS-A2K would collaborate with Punjabi Wikimedians. CIS-A2K has been working with "Focused Language Area" (FLA) model. From this year's work-plan we are introducing Focused Project Area (FPA). Here CIS-A2K will work with selected projects, based on community's need after open review of the project. This year CIS-A2K started discussion with Indian Wikimedia communities over mailing lists and IRC channels about FPA. Based on the responses we received and follow-up conversations, CIS-A2K would collaborate with Punjabi Wikimedians community to improve Punjabi Wikisource.

Skill Building

CIS-A2K believes that skill-building activities and initiatives play a very crucial role to empower Wikimedia communities. This observation is based on the analysis of the requests that A2K has received towards technical training, tech trouble shooting and resolution of bugs. In the past CIS-A2K has conducted and supported several skill building initiatives. In this work-plan CIS-A2K proposes the following skill-building activities.

Notes

1. Train the trainer is an initiative that will come under the process of building on our work. TTT has been instrumental in producing new leaders across Indic communities and projects.
2. MediaWiki Training is specialised training that has been conducted in collaboration with WMF employees and GSOC Fellows to develop patches and come up with other tech solutions.
3. IPWT is an initiative under Invest in a new idea process of A2K team. While events like TTT are effective in spreading general awareness, they do not have adequate follow up measures. A2K team will identify promising participants and arrange (virtual and real time) training as per the Wiki aptitude of the Wikimedian
4. Regional MWT and TTT: We aim to implement our Capacity building and Retention process with this initiative. A2K team shall be supporting TTT alumnus in organising and mentoring regional TTT and MWT along with the support of a community/A2K team member.
5. Wiki Technical Training: Wikimedians come with all kinds of interests and learning curves. While some might be inclined to conduct outreach activities and orient new users, some other Wikimedians would like to optimise their work and contribute to the content. WTT is a program to introduce and test tools, gadgets that can assist Indic Wikimedians in their activities.

Parnerships

A2K is currently working with Universities, Educational institutions, and like-minded organizations. This year, A2K is going to continue our work with existing partnerships who sustain interest to work with Open knowledge movement. During last plan period, A2K approached and could identify areas to collaborate and synergy, this is resulting building collaborations with Educational Organizations, Government Departments, Universities, and other like-minded organizations. Program is also exploring to reach-out several other organizations. A2K is trying build or scale up collaborations with these organizations to result sustained growth of Movement.

A2K identified that collaborating with colleges and educational organizations which specified subjects (language, science, journalism and communication) and majority of students are from rural background who studied their first language medium till high school will result in better impact as students are naturally better candidates to write in Indian language Wikipedias. Continue working more with such institutes and exploring new partners considering these aspects will be strategy, regarding educational organizations. Leadership development

Wikimedia movement across the world has been able to grow and sustain due to excellent community leaders who embody voluntarism and leadership. While India has been able to demonstrate leadership in other civil society movements, there has not been adequate leaders to lead the Wikimedia Projects. To ensure that the current community leaders do not face burn out and leadership pool is not restricted to a few people A2K team shall be conducting programs towards building capacities and leadership among individuals, communities of interest, user groups. In this work plan period, programs are envisaged from capacity building, support towards grant application and grant disbursal practices. This shall facilitate in community leaders effectively organising outreach activities and campaigns.
