INS అరిహంత్ (S-73) భారత్ నిర్మిస్తున్న అరిహంత్ తరగతికి చెందిన మొదటి అణు చోదిత బాలిస్టిక్ క్షిపణి జలాంతర్గామి.[5][6] 6,000 టన్నుల ఈ నౌకను అడ్వాన్స్‌డ్ టెక్నాలజీ వెస్సెల్ (ATV) ప్రాజెక్టులో భాగంగా విశాఖపట్నం లోని నౌకా నిర్మాణ కేంద్రంలో నిర్మించారు.

అరిహంత్ 2009 జూలై 26 విజయ్ దివస్ (కార్గిల్ యుద్ధం విజయ దినం) రోజున ప్రధాని మన్మోహన్ సింగ్ ప్రారంభించారు. విస్తృతమైన పరీక్షలు పూర్తయ్యాక, 2016 ఫిబ్రవరి 23 న ఈ జలాంతర్గామి, ఆపరేషన్‌కు సిద్ధమైందని ధ్రువీకరించారు.[7][1]

స్వదేశీ పరిజ్ఞానంతో నిర్మితమవుతున్న అరిహంత్ తరగతి జలాంతర్గాముల్లో ఇది మొదటిది. ఇంకో నాలుగు వేర్వేరు నిర్మాణ దశల్లో ఉన్నాయి. దీని పొడవు 111 మీటర్లు. బరువు 6000 టన్నులు.

రూపకల్పన[మార్చు]

అరిహంత్ తరగతి జలాంతర్గాముల డిజైను రష్యాకు చెందిన అకులా తరగతి జలాంతర్గాముల డిజైనుపై ఆధారపడి తయారు చేసినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది.[8] ఈ తరగతికి చెందిన INS చక్ర (రష్యా నుంచి లీజుకుతీసుకున్న అకులా తరగతి జలాంతర్గామి) పై అరిహంత్ సిబ్బందికి శిక్షణ ఇస్తారు.[9][10] అడ్మిరల్ నిర్మల్ వర్మ చెప్పిన దాని ప్రకారం "INS అరిహంత్ పూర్తి ఆపరేషనల్ SSBN (షిప్ సబ్‌మెరీన్ బాలిస్టిక్ న్యూక్లియర్) అనే దాని కంటే దాన్ని ఒక టెక్నాలజీ డిమాన్‌స్ట్రేటర్ అనొచ్చు"[11]

అరిహంత్ కు అవసరమైన శక్తిని అందించేందుకు శుద్ధ యురేనియం తో పనిచేసే 83 మెగావాట్ల ప్రెషరైస్‌డ్ లైట్ వాటర్ రియాక్టరు ఉంది[12][13] ఒక ప్రోటోటైప్ రియాక్టరును కల్పాక్కం లో నిర్మిచి 2006 సెప్టెంబరు నుండి దాన్ని పని చేయిస్తున్నారు. మూడేళ్ల కాలంలో దాన్ని  విజయవంతంగా పనిచేయించి, దాన్నుండి గ్రహించిన డేటా సహాయంతో అరిహంత్ కోసం రియాక్టరును నిర్మించారు.[14][15] 2008 జనవరిలో  80 మెవా రియాక్టరు నిర్మాణం పూర్తైంది.[16]

జలాంతర్గామి డిజైను యొక్క సవివరమైన ఇంజనీరింగ్ ను ఎల్ & టి వారి హజీరా నౌకా నిర్మాణ కేంద్రంలో చేసారు. జలాంతర్గామి నియంత్రణ వ్యవస్థలను టాటా పవర్ నిర్మించింది. స్టీమ్ టర్బైన్లు, దానికి సంబంధించిన వ్యవస్థలను వాల్‌చంద్‌నగర్ ఇండస్ట్రీస్ సరఫరా చేసింది.[17] ఈ ప్రాఅజెక్టుకు కన్‌సల్టెన్సీని రష్యా అందించింది.[18] రియాక్టరును జలాంతర్గామిలో పట్టేంత చిన్నదిగా నిర్మించడం కోసం అవసరమైన సహాయాన్ని కూడా రష్యా BARC కు అందించింది. [19]

ఈ జలాంతర్గాములకు నిట్టనిలువుగా ఉండే నాలుగు క్షిపణి ప్రయోగ ట్యూబులు ఉన్నాయి. దీనిలో 12 సాగరిక క్షిపణులను గానీ (750 కిమీ పరిధి) లేదా 4 K-4 క్షిపణులను గానీ (3,500 కిమీ పరిధి) మోహరించవచ్చు కె-4 పరీక్షలుమొదలయ్యాయి.[20][21][22]

ప్రారంభం[మార్చు]

INS అరిహంత్ ను 2009 జూలై 26 న నాటి ప్రధాని మన్మోహన్ సింగ్ భార్య గుర్‌శరన్ కౌర్ చేతుల మీదుగా ప్రారంభించారు.[23] కార్గిల్ యుద్ధ విజయానికి  పదేళ్ళు నిండిన సందర్భంగా జరిగిన ఈ కార్యక్రమంలో డ్రై డాక్‌లో నీళ్ళు నింపి జలాంతర్గామిని నీటిపై తేల్చారు.[24] విశాఖపట్నంలోని మత్స్య అనే రహస్య స్థావరంలో కొబ్బరికాయ కొట్టి ఈ ప్రారంభోత్సవం జరిపారు. డిఫెన్స్ ప్రొఫెషనల్స్ డైలీ, 'కీలకమైన న్యూక్లియర్ రియాక్టరు, నిఘా పరికరాలు, ఆయుధాలు ఏమీ లేకుండానే అరిహంత్ ప్రారంభం జరిగింది' అని వ్యాఖ్యానించింది.[25] అక్కడ ఫోటోగ్రఫీని నిషేధించారు. జాలాంతర్గామి పూర్తి ఫోటోలు లభించలేదు.[26][27] ప్రధాని తన ప్రసంగంలో ఇలా అన్నాడు, "నేను మన రష్యా మిత్రులకు, వారి నిరంతర సహాయ సహకారాలకుగాను నా ధన్యవాదాలు తెలుపుతున్నాను. ఈ సహకారం రష్యాతో మనకున్న వ్యూహాత్మక భాగస్వామ్యానికి సూచిక".[28] అణు త్రయాన్ని (భూమి, గాలి, సముద్రం ఈ మూడింటిపైనుండి అణ్వాయుధాలను ప్రయోగించగల సామర్థ్యం) అభివృద్ధి చెయ్యడంలో అరిహంత్ ఒక ముందడుగు.

అభివృద్ధి దశలు[మార్చు]

2012 ఆగస్టు 7న అడ్మిరల్ వర్మ, 'రాబోయే నెలల్లో అరిహంత్ సముద్ర పరీక్షలు మొదలౌతున్నాయి, అది ఆపరేషను దిశలో పురోగమిస్తోంది' అని చెప్పాడు .[29] 2013 జనవరి 27 న, సాగరిక క్షిపణి చివరి ప్రయోగ పరీక్ష పూర్తై, జలాంతర్గామితో మేళవింపుకు సిద్ధమైంది.[30] 2013 ఆగస్టు 10 న అణు రియాక్టరు క్రిటికల్ స్థితికి చేరింది;[12] ఈ స్థితికి చేరేందుకు, తీరంలో ఉన్న హై ప్రెషర్ స్టీమ్ తో రియాక్టరును అనుసంధానించి, అనేక నెలల పాటు దాని వ్యవస్థల్లో పరీక్షలు చేసారు.[12][31]

 

ప్రస్తుత స్థితి[మార్చు]

2014 డిసెంబరు 13 న, అరిహంత్ పాక్షికంగా మునిగి విశాఖపట్నం రేవు నుండి బయటకు వచ్చింది. విస్తృత సముద్ర పరీక్షల కోసం బంగాళాఖాతంలోకి పయనించి వెళ్ళింది.[32][33][34][35] జాలంతర్గామి నుండి  ప్రయోగించే బాలిస్టిక్, క్రూయిజ్ క్షిపణుల ప్రయోగం ఈ పరీక్షల్లో భాగం. దీని 100 మంది సిబ్బందికి రష్యా నిపుణులు శిక్షణ ఇచ్చారు. రక్షణ మంత్రి మనోహర్ పారికర్ ప్రకారం, INS అరిహంత్‌ను 8 నుండి 10 నెలల పాటు పరీక్షించాక,  2016 లో భారత నావికా దళంలోకి చేరుస్తారు.[36][37]

2015 నవంబరు 25 న డమ్మీ సాగరిక క్షిపణిని అరిహంత్ నుండి విజయవంతంగా ప్రయోగించారు.[38] 2016 లో విశాఖపట్నంలో జరిగిన అంతర్జాతీయ ఫ్లీట్ రివ్యూలో అరిహంత్‌ కూడా పాల్గొంటుందని భావించారు గానీ, భద్రతా కారణాల రీత్యా దాన్ని రద్దు చేసారు. ఫిబ్రవరి 23 న అరిహంత్ ఆపరేషన్స్‌కు సిద్ధంగా ఉందని అధికారికంగా ప్రకటించారు.[1]

2016 ఆగస్టులో అరిహంత్‌ను నావికాదళంలోకి చేర్చుకున్నట్లుగా 2016 అక్టోబరులో వార్తలు వచ్చాయి.[39]

2018 లో అరిహంట్ తొలిసారి శత్రు జలాలు దెగ్గరకు ప్రయాణిoచి వచ్చినిది.
