దృహ్యులు
దృహ్యులు వేద భారతదేశం యొక్క ప్రజలు. ఈ తెగవారు ఋగ్వేదంలో ప్రస్తావించబడ్డారు.[1] సాధారణంగా అను తెగకు చెందిన వారితో కలసి ఉంటారు.[2] కొంతమంది ప్రారంభ పరిశోధకులు వీరిని వాయవ్య ప్రాంతంలోని వారిగా గుర్తించారు. తరువాతి కాలం గ్రంథాలు నందు, ఇతిహాసాలు, పురాణాలు, వీరిని "ఉత్తర" ప్రాంతంలో గుర్తించడం, అంటే, గాంధార, అరట్ట, సేతులలో (విష్ణు పురాణం IV.17) ఉన్నట్లుగా గుర్తించారు. ఏడు నదుల భూమి నుండి దృహ్యులు (నిర్మూలించబడ్డారు) వెళ్ళగొట్ట బడ్డారు, వారి తరువాతి రాజు గాంధార, ఉత్తర-పశ్చిమ ప్రాంతంలో స్థిరపడ్డారు, తరువాత ఇది గాంధరా అని పిలువబడింది. తరువాతి దృహ్య రాజు యొక్క కుమారులు "ఉత్తర" (udīcyya) ప్రాంతంలో (భాగవత పురాణం 9.23.15-16; విష్ణు పురాణం 4.17.5; వాయు 99.11-12; బ్రహ్మాండ పురాణం 3.74.11-12, మత్స్య పురాణం 48.9) లో స్థిరపడ్డారు. ఇటీవలే, కొందరు రచయితలు [3] చారిత్రాత్మకంగా ఉక్రెయిన్, గ్రీకు లేదా ఐరోపా ప్రజలు లేదా సెల్టిక్ తరగతి యొక్క పూర్వీకులుగా దృహ్యులు జాతి ఉందని చారిత్రాత్మకంగా నొక్కిచెప్పారు.[4] అయితే, డ్రూయిడ్ (గల్లిక్ సెల్టిక్ డ్రూయిడ్స్) అనే పదాన్ని ప్రోటో-ఇండో-యురోపియన్ నుండి అనగా చూసేందుకు , "తెలుసుకునేందుకు" నుండి తీసుకోబడింది, [5] ఇది ఋగ్వేదం, పురాణాలు ఈ తెగను ఉత్తర దిశగా వలసవచ్చినట్లు కూడా చెప్పబడింది.[3][4] అయినప్పటికీ, ఋగ్వేదం, పురాణాలలో ఇది ఏదీ లేదు, అయితే ఉత్తర ప్రదేశానికికు దృహ్య "ప్రక్కనే ఉన్నది" అని పేర్కొన్నారు.
