2008లో దాదాపు పది మంది పాకిస్తాన్ జీహాదీలు ముంబై నగరంలో కాల్పులు మరియు బాంబు దాడులు చేశారు.[1][2] 26 నవంబర్ నుండి 29 నవంబర్ వరకూ మూడు రోజుల పాటు దారుణ మారణకాండ కొనసాగింది. ఈ దాడిలో 173 మంది చనిపోగా 308 మంది వరకూ గాయపడ్డారు. ఎనిమిది దాడులు దక్షిణ ముంబైలో జరిగాయి. ఛత్రపతి శివాజీ టర్మినస్, ఒబెరాయ్ ట్రైడెంట్, [3] తాజ్‌మహల్ ప్యాలెస్ మరియు టవర్, [3] లియోపాల్డ్ కేఫ్, కామా హాస్పటల్, [3] యూదు మతస్తుల ప్రార్థనా స్థలమైన నారిమన్ హోస్, [4] మెట్రో సినిమా హాల్, [5] టైమ్స్ ఆఫ్ ఇండియా భవనం వెనుక సందులో మరియు సెయింట్ జేవియర్స్ కాలేజీల పై దాడులు జరిగాయి.[3] ముంబై పోర్టు ఏరియాలోని మాజగావ్ లో మరియు విలే పార్లేలో ఒక టాక్సీలో కూడా పేలుళ్ళు సంభవించాయి.[6]
