She made her acting debut at the age of 17 in the 2009 [[తెలుగు|Telugu]] film, ''[[జోష్ (సినిమా)|Josh]]'' opposite [[అక్కినేని నాగ చైతన్య|Naga Chaitanya]]. కార్తికా నాయర్ (జననం 27 June 1992)[1] ప్రముఖ భారతీయ సినీ నటి. ఆమె ముఖ్యంగా దక్షిణ భారత సినిమాల్లో నటించింది. 2009లో అక్కినేని నాగచైతన్య సరసన తెలుగు సినిమా జోష్తో తెరంగేట్రం చేసింది కార్తికా. జీవా సరసన ఆమె నటించిన రెండో చిత్రం రంగంతో ఆమె ప్రసిద్ధి చెందింది. ఈ సినిమా అసలు తమిళంలో తీసి, తెలుగులో డబ్బింగ్ చేశారు.

Her second movie was in Tamil called Ko pairing with Jiiva which did very well at the box office.[4] She then appeared in the Malayalam film, Makaramanju directed by Lenin Rajeendran, starring alongside ace cinematographer and director Santosh Sivan. She then appeared playing the title role in Bharathiraja's Annakodi.
