అమెరికా ఆర్థికవేత్త అయిన సైమన్ కుజ్‌నెట్స్ఏప్రిల్ 30 , 1901 న ఉక్రేయిన్ లోని ఖార్కివ్ లో జన్మించాడు. 1922 లో అమెరికాకు వలసవెళ్ళి పెన్సిల్వేనియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయానికి చెందిన వార్టన్ స్కూల్ లో పరిశోధనలు కావించి 1971 లో అర్థశాస్త్ర నోబెల్ బహుమతి సాధించాడు. జూలై 8, 1985 లో ఇతడు మరణించాడు.
బాల్యం
పూర్వపు రష్యా రిపబ్లిక్ అయిన బెలారస్ లో ఏప్రిల్ 30, 1901 న జెవిష్ కుటుంబంలో పింక్స్ వద్ద సైమన్ కుజ్‌నెట్స్ జన్మించాడు. 1922 లో అమెరికాకు వలసవెళ్ళి కొలంబియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో 1923 లో డిగ్రీ పొందినాడు. 1924 మరియు 1926 లలో వరుసగా యం.ఏ. మరియు పి.హెచ్.డి.పట్టాలు పొందినాడు.
పరిశోధనలు
1925 నుంచి 1926 వరకు కుజ్‌నెట్స్ ధరల నిర్ణయం పట్ల రీసెర్చి ఫెలో గా పరిశోధనలు కావించాడు. ఈ పరిశోధనల ఫలితంగా 1930 లో Secular Movements in Production and Prices గ్రంథం వెలువడింది.

1931 నుంచి 1936 కుజ్‌నెట్స్ పెన్సిల్వేనియా విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో అర్థశాస్త్ర మరియు గణాంకశాస్త్ర పార్ట్‌టైం ప్రొఫెసర్ గా , ఆ తర్వాత 1936 నుంచి 1954 వరకు ప్రొఫెసర్ గా పనిచేసినాడు. 1954 లో జాన్ హాప్కిన్స్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయానికి పయనమై 1960 వరకు రాజకీయ అర్థశాస్త్రం బోధించాడు. 1960 నుంచి 1971 లో పదవీవిరమణ పొందేవరకు కుజ్‌నెట్స్ హార్వార్డ్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో బోధించాడు.
