హుంద్రు జలపాతం జార్ఖండ్ రాష్ట్ర రాజధాని రాంచీ జిల్లాలో ఉన్న జలపాతం[1]. రాంచీ సమీపంలోని ప్రసిద్ధ పర్యాటక ప్రదేశాలలో ఒకటైన ఈ జలపాతం[2], భారతదేశంలోనే 34వ అతిపెద్ద జలపాతంగా గుర్తింపుపొందింది[3].
జలపాతం గురించి
ఇది సువర్ణలేఖ నదిలో ఏర్పడిన జలపాతం. 98 మీటర్ల (322 అడుగుల ఎత్తు) ఎత్తు నుండి జాలువారుతున్న ఈ జలపాతం జార్ఖాండ్ రాష్ట్రంలోని అత్యంత ఎత్తైన జలపాతాలలో ఒకటి. జలపాతం నుండి నిరంతరంగా నీరు పడటంవల్ల అక్కడి రాళ్ళు వివిధ నిర్మాణాలుగా మారి ఆ ప్రాంతానికి మరింత సౌందర్యాన్ని తెచ్చాయి.[4][5][6] వర్షాకాలంలో ఈ జలపాతం సుందరంగా ఉంటూ పర్యాటకులను విశేషంగా ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. ఇక్కడ స్నానం చేయడంకోసం స్విమ్మింగ్ పూల్ కూడా ఉంది.[4]
ప్రయాణమార్గం
రాంచీ-పురూలియా రహదారిలో 45 కిలోమీటర్లు (28 మైళ్ళు) దూరంలో, ప్రధాన రహదారి నుండి సుమారు 21 కిలోమీటర్ల (13 మైళ్ళు) దూరంలో ఈ హుంద్రు జలపాతం ఉంది.[7]
