కొన్ని వస్తువులను గజిబిజిగా, నైపుణ్యముగా కదలిస్తూ సరదాగా ఆడుకునే ఆటను జగ్లింగ్ అంటారు. జగ్లింగ్ చేసే వ్యక్తిని జగ్లర్ అంటారు. జగ్లర్ జగ్లింగ్ చేసేటప్పుడు చాలా వేగంగా జగ్లింగ్ చేసే వస్తువులను గుర్తిస్తూ వాటిని పట్టుకుంటూ మళ్ళీ వాటిని పైకి విసురుతూ జగ్లింగ్ చేసే వస్తువులు కింద పడకుండా ఇలా వెంట వెంటనే పట్టుకోవడం, పైకి విసరడం చేస్తూ ఉంటాడు.

జగ్లింగ్ ను సాధారణంగా చేతితో చేస్తారు. బాగా నైపుణ్యము సాధించిన కొందరు కాళ్ళతోను, నోటితో కూడా చేస్తుంటారు.

జగ్లింగ్ ను ఒక చేతితోను, రెండు చేతుల తోను మరియు కొంతమంది కలసి కూడా చేస్తూంటారు.

జగ్లింగ్ లో సాధారణంగా బంతులను వాడుతారు. బాగా నైపుణ్యము సాధించిన కొందరు బీరు బాటిల్స్, వెలుగుతున్న కాగడాల వంటి వాటిని ఉపయోగిస్తారు.

This ancient wall painting (c. 1994-1781 B.C) appears to depict jugglers. It was found in the 15th tomb of the Karyssa I area, Egypt. According to Dr. Bianchi, associate curator of the Brooklyn Museum "In tomb 15, the prince is looking on to things he enjoyed in life that he wishes to take to the next world. The fact that jugglers are represented in a tomb suggests religious significance." ... "round things were used to represent large solar objects, birth, and death."
