వృక్ష శాస్త్రీయ నామం

వృక్ష శాస్త్రీయ నామం అనగా ఒక మొక్కకి ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా అందరికి అమోదయోగ్యమైన పేరును శాస్త్రీయ పద్ధతులను అనుసరించి నిర్ణయించడం. శాస్త్రీయ నామంను ఆంగ్లంలో Botanical name అంటారు. A botanical name is a formal scientific name conforming to the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (ICBN) and, if it concerns a plant cultigen, the additional cultivar and/or Group epithets must conform to the International Code of Nomenclature for Cultivated Plants.
