==Purpose==
The {{tl|Moved discussion to}} and {{tl|Moved discussion from}} tags are related to {{tl|Resolved}}, and are used to indicate when a discussion has been moved elsewhere. They are meant to be placed at the top of sections on [[Help:Using talk pages|talk pages]] and other discussions, and serve as a reminder for editors not to add any more to the discussion, except at its new location, unless absolutely necessary.

Place the following under the topic heading on a talk page:

If a discussion is long, it should be removed from its original location (except for the heading and this template) after it is moved, or at least archived.

It is especially optional if a comment retained below the heading makes it clear who did the move and why.
