English: Even after stranded people had been rescued, the authorities left thousands of animals to fend for themselves on isolated pockets in the mountains surrounded by deadly landslides or treacherous currents. These animals were raised by humans and did not know how to fend for themselves once the disaster struck. This picture was taken many days after the event, just showing how people had left these animals without any hope.
