Durga Puja (or the Durgotsava or the Sharadotsav) is the annual Hindu festival that celebrates the worship of the Hindu Goddess Durga.

The festival covers all the days i.e. Mahalaya (the beginning of the Devipaksha), Shashthi, Maha Saptami, Maha Ashtami, Maha Navami and Vijayadashami (also known as Dussehra). Like Dussehra, the Durga Puja festival epitomizes the victory of Good over Evil.
