ఆర్కాట్ ముదలియార్[1] లేదా ఆగముడి ముదలియార్, [2][3] నిజానికి తుళువ వెల్లాల అని పిలుస్తారు, ఇది దక్షిణ ఆంధ్ర ప్రదేశ్, ఉత్తర తమిళనాడులో ప్రధాన భూమిని కలిగి ఉన్న కులం[4][a]. వారు విజయనగర, హొయసల సామ్రాజ్యంలో కార్యాలయ హోల్డర్లు, ప్రభువులు. వారు సంపన్నులు, ఉన్నత విద్యావంతులుగా పరిగణించబడ్డారు.[6]

Tuluva Vellala is a prosperous and progressive caste in Tamil Nadu and they migrated from Tulu Nadu to Tamil Nadu in ancient times.
