కాటంరాజు నారాయణ రావు 12 ఆక్టోబర్ 1931 న మచిలీపట్నం గ్రామంలో జన్మించాడు. నారాయణరావు గారు భారత తనిఖీలు, అకౌంట్స్ సర్వీస్ నుండి పదవీ విరమణ పొందాడు తన తల్లి K. సరస్వతి దేవి నుండి జ్యోతిషం నేర్చుకున్నాడు. జ్యోతిష పాఠశాల భారతీయ విద్య భవన్, న్యూఢిల్లీ స్థాపకుడు.వేద జ్యోతిష్కులు అమెరికన్ కౌన్సిల్ రెండవ సదస్సు 1993లో ముఖ్య అతిథి. వేదంగా జ్యోతిష్కాన్ని పాఠ్యాంశంగా ఇండియాన్ యునివర్ససిటిలో ప్రవేశపెట్టాడు
