కున్నూర్ తమిళనాడులోని నీలగిరి జిల్లాలోని ఒక తాలూకా, మునిసిపాలిటీ.[1][2] 2011 నాటికి దీని జనాభా 45494. ఇది ఒక పర్యాటక కేంద్రం కూడా.
పర్యాటకం[మార్చు]
ఈ పట్టణంలో ఉన్న సిమ్స్ పార్కులో సుమారు వెయ్యి రకాల వృక్షజాతులు ఉన్నాయి. ఈ బొటానికల్ గార్డెన్ పాక్షికంగా జపనీస్ శైలిలో రూపొందించబడింది. దీనికి 1874 లో మద్రాస్ క్లబ్ కార్యదర్శిగా పని చేసిన జె.డి. సిమ్ అనే వ్యక్తి పేరు మీదుగా నామకరణం చేశారు. ఇక్కడ ప్రతి సంవత్సరం మే నెలలో ఫల ప్రదర్శన జరుగుతుంది.[3][4]
