Sridhar Dharmasanam is an Hyderabad based professional Television Journalist with 30-years of rich experience both in print, electronic and online media. Mr. Sridhar has to his credit a record number of 2000 hours of television software generation experience pertaining to news, features, documentaries and short films on different topics ranging from social, political, business, economics, science, technology, health, film, television, theatre, art, culture, tribal & tourism on behalf of various satellite Television channels, news networks and production houses including government and non-governmental agencies in and outside the country.
Known for his investigative skills Sridhar has created ripples many a time through his thought provoking reportage during his stint as Correspondent with newspapers like Deccan Chronicle, Newstime, Indian Express (Mumbai) prior to his entry into television. Mr. Sridhar served as an Executive Editor of Blend, a lifestyle magazine and Television Takes, a national magazine in English language devoted to small screen segment published from the house of Kedias from Hyderabad. He is currently serving as an Editor of online news portal maahyderabad.in.
A Post Graduate in English Literature and a Post Graduate Diploma holder in Communication & Journalism, Sridhar earlier has served various television networks like the London based world's largest television news agency, formerly known as, Worldwide Television News (WTN), the Delhi based Jain TV, Sahara TV as State Correspondent, Principle Correspondent, Special Correspondent and executed several projects on behalf of Doordarshan National & Metro Networks, Zee TV besides Delhi based Production Houses like PTI-TV, Hindustan Times Television (HTV), Independent Television (ITV), Newstrack, Asia News International (ANI), BAG Films, News and Entertainment Television (NETV) and Bombay-based Cinema Vision India, People Plus etc.
Mr. Sridhar has wide travel experience across the state and the country covering various issues like the Lathur Earth Quake, Diviseema Cyclone, ONGC blow-up, Tribals’ illhealth, Naxals, Tsunami besides covering general elections in Bangladesh, Indo-Pak skirmishes on Poonch sector in J&K, mass child marriages in Rajasthan besides Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland to name a few.
An ardent Telangana protagonist, Sridhar Dharmasanam is a native of Hyderabad. His forefathers served as judicial heads during the Nizams’ rule. He served as General Secretary, vice president of students’ union for 3 consecutive terms. He was a founder Secretary of Andhra Pradesh TV Producers’ Council and served as founder President of Maa Hyderabad, an organization fought for the cause of Telangana in Hyderabad. Mr. Sridhar worked in close association with TJAC, TRS, TVS etc.
