English: A prabha is a wooden object decorated with colorful clothes and other regional souvenirs to set up that region's worshipped god, decorated by locals.The tradition of prabhalateertham is being followed since 17th century in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh, where people from 11 nearby villages gather, each village people representing their local worshipped god(Lord Shiva), on prabha,carrying them through the farm lands by foot to a farm land named as jagganna thota, and celebrate the 3rd day of Sankranthi festival. People from all over the country visit this event and take the blessings of all 11 gods of all villages and celebrate the event with families.
