కాంగ్రెస్ రేడియో క్విట్ ఇండియా ఉద్యమ సమయంలో 1942 సంవత్సరంలో స్థాపించారు.[1] ఈ రేడియో బ్రాడ్కాస్టింగ్ లో గాంధీ ఇచ్చిన సందేశాలతో పాటు వివిధ ముఖ్యమైన నాయకుల ప్రసంగాలను ప్రసారం చేశారు. కాంగ్రెస్ రేడియో ను ఉషా మెహతా 1982 ఆగస్టు 14 న స్థాపించి కొంతమంది తన మద్దతుదారులైన విఠల్ దాస్ ఖక్కర్, చంద్రకాంత్ ఝవేరి, బాబూభాయ్ ఠక్కర్ లతో కలిసి రహస్యంగా నడపడం మొదలెట్టింది.[2] ఆగస్టు 27వ తారీకు నుండి ప్రజలకు ఈ రేడియో సౌకర్యాలు అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చాయి. ఈ రేడియో బ్రాడ్కాస్టింగ్ లో గాంధీ ఇచ్చిన సందేశాలతో పాటు వివిధ ముఖ్యమైన నాయకుల ప్రసంగాలను ప్రసారం చేశారు. అయితే రహస్యంగా నడుపుతున్నా ఈ రేడియో స్టేషన్ గురించి తెలుసుకున్న బ్రిటిష్ పోలీసులు నిర్వాహకులను 1942 నవంబర్ 12న అరెస్టు చేశారు.[3][4][5][6]
