పైపరేసి (లాటిన్: Piperaceae) పుష్పించే మొక్కలలో మిరియాల కుటుంబం.
ఇందులోని 5 ప్రజాతులలో సుమారు 3,610 జాతులున్నాయి. చాలా రకాల మిరియాలు ఇందులోని రెండు ప్రజాతులైన పైపర్ (2000 జాతులు) మరియు పైపరోమియా (1600 జాతులు) లలో ఉన్నాయి.[1]
ఈ కుటుంబానికి చెందిన మొక్కలు చిన్న వృక్షాలు, పొదలుగా పెరుగుతాయి. ఇవి ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా విస్తరించాయి.
వీనిలో అత్యంత ప్రసిద్ధిచెందినవి నల్ల మిరియాలు (Piper nigrum).[2]
