The infobox may be used to summarize information about rankings of India universities and colleges. This infobox may be added by pasting the template as shown below into an article. Insert only the ranking into the template field (i.e., "1" not "1st," "2" not "2nd," etc.).

The last four digits are the year of ranking. Only very specific (usually latest) years are available.

The template creates named citations which can (and should) be used in the article body. The name of the reference for ranking X is Rankings_X, e.g. Rankings_NIRF_O_2018 for the India Today engineering ranking. Use it with <ref name=Rankings_NIRF_O_2018/>.
