                    LORD LAXMINARASIHMA SWAMY

 Sri Laxminarasihma swamy is one of the avatharam of 

lord vishnu. According to the prayer of sri Baktha prahalad son the Hiranyakashyapa lord vishnu has taken this avatharam to kill the Hiranyakashyapa. sri prahalad is the great devotee of the lord vishnu by birth. Hiranyakasyapa is a great king. he directed the people to pray him self as a god.he is not willing to accept lord vishnu as a god.to save the world, narada went near to the mother of prahalad while she is pregnant and told many stories about the miracles of the lord vishnu, but she slept in middile and the small baby in the stomac (prahalad) is listening the stories of lord vishnu very interestingly and giving reply to the narada stories by saying uu uu.after the birth of the prahalad he has become a great devotee of lord vishnu and he praying the god every time. king

Hiranyakasyapa is not accepting his son's attitude and making pressure on him to accept him self as a god but prahalad is not willing to accept the same.

so the king is giving serious punishments to him so that he should accept him self as a god.after his punishments he become helpless and asked prahalad to show the lord vishnu.prahalad told that lord vishu is every where you can the god any where as you wish.

Then Hiranyakashyapa asked his son to show the god in the pillar of his fort,immediatly he broken the pillar ,then lord vishnu came out of the pillar in narasihma avatharam and killed the Hiranyakashyapa.

"Narasihma means his head is lion and body is as man " Because Hiranyakashyapa has varam of that he cannot kill by any animal or any king or any man or any time or any weapon or inside or out side. so lord vishnu has taken a avatharam of partly man and partly animal and he killed him at the door of the house so that it is not inside of the house or outside of the house and he killed by using his nails as a weapon because they are not the weapons.

Narasihma swamy is a powerfull god and he complets our wishes by praying the god every day.
