WWE, యునైటెడ్ స్టేట్స్‌లోని కనెక్టికట్‌లోని స్టాంఫోర్డ్‌లో ఉన్న ఒక అమెరికన్ ప్రొఫెషనల్ రెజ్లింగ్ ప్రమోషన్, వారు వరల్డ్ రెజ్లింగ్ ఫెడరేషన్‌గా ఉన్నప్పటి నుండి 1996 నుండి భారతదేశంలో ఈవెంట్‌లను ప్రోత్సహిస్తున్నారు. భారతదేశంలో నుంచి డబ్ల్యు డబ్ల్యు ఈ లేకి చాలామంది అడుగు పెట్టారు.

WWE బృందం మొదటిసారిగా 1996లో దేశంలో పర్యటించింది.[1][2] తదుపరిసారి WWE 2002 నవంబరులో భారతదేశానికి వచ్చింది, న్యూ ఢిల్లీ, ముంబై, బెంగళూరులను సందర్శించింది.[3] 13 సంవత్సరాలలో భారతదేశంలో జరిగిన మొదటి WWE ఈవెంట్ అయిన రెండు రోజుల ఈవెంట్ కోసం కంపెనీ 2016 జనవరిలో న్యూఢిల్లీకి తిరిగి వచ్చింది.[4] 2017 డిసెంబరు 9న, న్యూ ఢిల్లీలోని ఇందిరా గాంధీ ఇండోర్ స్టేడియంలో WWE లైవ్ ఇండియా సూపర్‌షో పేరుతో హౌస్ షో జరిగింది.[5][6]
