రామ్ బెహారీ అరోరా (1917–1997) ఒక భారతీయ ఫార్మకాలజిస్ట్, వైద్య విద్యావేత్త, భారత రాష్ట్రమైన రాజస్థాన్లో మొదటి వైద్య కళాశాల అయిన సవాయ్ మాన్సింగ్ వైద్య కళాశాలలో ఫార్మకాలజీ విభాగానికి వ్యవస్థాపక అధిపతి. నేషనల్ అకాడమీ ఆఫ్ మెడికల్ సైన్సెస్ వ్యవస్థాపక ఫెలోలలో ఆయన ఒకరు. [1] [2] [3] [4]
1917, మార్చి 31న జన్మించిన అరోరా కార్డియోవాస్క్యులర్ ఫార్మాకోథెరపీ రంగానికి చేసిన కృషికి ప్రసిద్ధి చెందారు. అతను సాంప్రదాయ భారతీయ వైద్యాన్ని పరిశోధించాడు, ఈ అంశంపై అనేక వైద్య పత్రాలను ప్రచురించాడు. ఆయన వ్యాసాలను పలువురు రచయితలు ఉదహరించారు. శాస్త్రీయ పరిశోధన కోసం భారత ప్రభుత్వ అత్యున్నత సంస్థ అయిన కౌన్సిల్ ఆఫ్ సైంటిఫిక్ అండ్ ఇండస్ట్రియల్ రీసెర్చ్ 1961 లో వైద్య శాస్త్రాలకు చేసిన కృషికి అత్యున్నత భారతీయ సైన్స్ పురస్కారాలలో ఒకటైన శాంతి స్వరూప్ భట్నాగర్ ప్రైజ్ ఫర్ సైన్స్ అండ్ టెక్నాలజీని ప్రదానం చేసింది, ఈ గౌరవాన్ని పొందిన మొదటి వైద్యుడిగా గుర్తింపు పొందాడు.
