కరోనా వైరస్ డిసీస్ 2019 లేదా కోవిడ్-19 ఒక అంటువ్యాధి. ఇది సివియర్ అక్యూట్ రెస్పిరేటరీ సిండ్రోం కరోనా వైరస్ 2 (SARS-CoV-2) అనే వైరస్ వల్ల కలుగుతుంది.[1] దీన్ని మొట్టమొదటగా మధ్య చైనాలోని హూబే ప్రావిన్సు రాజధానియైన వుహాన్ లో 2019 లో గుర్తించారు. అక్కడి నుంచి ఇది ప్రపంచమంతటా వ్యాపించి 2019-20 కరోనా వైరస్ విశ్వమారి అయ్యింది.
