హబుల్ టెలీస్కోపు

హబుల్ అంతరిక్ష దూరదర్శిని (ఆంగ్లం Hubble Space Telescope) భూమి చుట్టూ ఒక కక్ష్యలో ప్రవేశపెట్టబడిన టెలిస్కోపు. అమెరికా కు చెందిన ఖగోళ శాస్త్రజ్ఞుడు ఎడ్విన్ హబుల్ పేరున దీని నామకరణం జరిగినది. దీని ముఖ్య ఉద్దేశ్యం రోదసీ లోతుల్లో ఉన్న నభోమూర్తుల అధ్యయనం. దీనిని డిస్కవరీ అంతరిక్ష వాహనం ద్వారా ఏప్రిల్ 1990 లో భూమి చుట్టూ వున్న ఒక నిర్దిష్టమైన కక్ష్యలో ప్రవేశపెట్టారు.
