మూడవ పంజాబ్ శాసనసభకు సభ్యులను ఎన్నుకోడానికి 1962 ఫిబ్రవరిలో ఎన్నికలు జరిగాయి.[1] మొత్తం 756 మంది అభ్యర్థులు పోటీ పడగా, భారత జాతీయ కాంగ్రెస్ 90 సీట్లలో గెలుపొంది, మెజారిటీ సాధించింది.
