చరిత్ర

        గ్రంధాలయము అనునది ఏ విద్యాసంస్థకైనా ఒక విజ్నాన నిధి వంటిది. కె.బి.ఎన్ కళాశాల u.g గ్రంధాలయము శ్రీ తల్లం. సత్యనారాయణ మరణానంతరం వారి పేరున 1965 వ సంవత్సరములో స్థాపించబడింది.
      పుస్తక ప్రియులైన ఎ.కె. సింఘల్  శ్రీ. మధుసూధనరావు, శ్రీ. కె.బి.ఎస్. శాస్త్రి, శ్రీ. ఇమ్మిడిశెట్టి అక్కెశ్వరరావు, శ్రీ ఎన్.వి.రమణ, టి.వి.సుబ్బారావు, శ్రీమతి. శివపార్వతి, శ్రీ.ఎం.ఎస్.ఎస్. శశిధర్ లు ఈ గ్రంధాలయమునకు ఎన్నో పుస్తకాలను బహుకరించిరి. తెలుగు అకాడమీ హైదరాబాద్ వారు సైతం ఉదారతతొ ఎన్నో పుస్తకాలను బహుకరించియుంటిరి. కళాశాల యాజమాన్యం వారు ఈ గ్రంధాలయమునకు వేదముల ప్రతులను సమకూర్చియున్నారు.
          గొప్ప ఉద్దేశ్యము, అంకితభావములతో ప్రారంభమునందు 1000 పుస్తకములతో ఈ గ్రంధాలయమును స్థాపించియుంటిరి. 1965-1991 మధ్యకాలంలో పనిచేసిన గ్రంధాలయ ప్రధమ నిర్వాహకులు శ్రీ వెంకటేశ్వరరావు ఈ గ్రంధాలయమునకు తమ అవిశ్రాంత సేవలను అందించిరి.
తదనంతరం 1992 లో నియమించబడిన గ్రంధాలయ అభివృధ్దికి కృషి చేసిరి. తదనంతరం గ్రంధాలయ 3వ నిర్వాహకునిగా నియమించబడిన శ్రీ వి. తిరుపతిరావు ఎం. ఎల్ ఐ. ఎస్.సి. గ్రంధాలయమునకు 21వ శతాబ్దపు నూతన కళాఒరవడిని తనదైనశైలిలో అద్ది తన సేవలను కొనసాగించుచుంటిరి.

>సమాచర వెతుకులాటలో అయ్యే వృధా సమయాన్ని తగ్గించుట.

> విద్యాప్రమాణల విలక్షణ మైన వికాసం కొరకు కావలసిన పా పుస్తకాలను అందించుట.

> విద్యార్ధులకు మరియు సిబ్బందికి పరిశోధనా కార్యక్రమములను కావలసిన సమాచారాన్ని అందించుట.

> అంతర్జాలము మరియు దిజిటల్ లైబ్రరి ఉపయోగించుకోవడానికి అవకాశం కల్పించుట.

1. డిగ్రీ లోని మొత్తం పుస్తకాల సంఖ్య 42902 మరియు పి.జీ లోని పుస్తకాలు 12,475. .

2. డిగ్రీ లోని మసాంతపు పుస్తకాలు 39 మరియు పి.జీ లొని పుస్తకాలు 87..

3. జర్నల్స్ మొత్తం 39.

4 డిగ్రీ దినపత్రికలు మొత్తం 10 మరియు పి.జీ దినపత్రికలు 7.

5 గతానికి సంబంధించిన ప్రతులు మొత్తం 765 మరియు పి.జీ ప్రతులు 462.

6 డిగ్రీ లొని సి.డీ ల సంఖ్య 901 మరియు పి.జీ లోని సి.డీ ల సంఖ్య 284. .

Technical Works

  >All the books in the library are completely classified.
  >At thebeginning the 20 edition of DDC was used for classifying books.
  >Now we use 18th edition of DDC for classifying all subject except computer science.

  >In the beginning we maintained book form catalogues.
  >Now at present we follows card catalogues.
  >For issue and return of books we have been following a modified Newark charging system.There is a faculty for reservation of books in out library.
  >We are participating full open access system for the member of the staff and student access system for the staff and student community.
  >We are started the computerization for our library stock using VOLK Software EZLIBRARY. The work is in process.
