[మార్చు]- File:Drew Scott.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- It was tagged as a copyvio of this image. That's not the source image, since it's smaller and doesn't extend as far above Scott's head, but I can virtually guarantee you that both are cropped from another image. Nyttend (talk) 00:47, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Teja-in-white.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- This image was posted in 2008, two years before it was uploaded here, without evidence of a free license. If uploader is original photographer, they need to send permission to WP:OTRS. —RP88 (talk) 09:21, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Liveartsatnight.JPG (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Unclear copyright status. It says: "The use of this file is permitted only on Wikipedia." However, the history also shows various free copyright tags added by the uploader. I don't know whether the Wikipedia-only permission nullifies those free copyright tags. Stefan2 (talk) 10:13, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Lubarov FishDay.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- The museum is probably not the copyright holder to the artwork. Stefan2 (talk) 10:18, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- It says that "Marisa Warrington retains full rights to the image" so the image seems to be unfree. Stefan2 (talk) 11:49, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- The uploader seems to mean that the permission is stated at http://autotravel.org.ru/phalbum/info.html but based on Google Translate, there doesn't seem to be any permission there. Stefan2 (talk) 11:52, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Malone D EG 01.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
“ | This image (or this Media) is copyrighted. The copyright holder allows anyone to use it for any purpose, provided that no reproduction of this image occurs without written consent from the photographer: www.erikagoldring.com <http://www.erikagoldring.com/> | ” |
This seems to indicate that the file is unfree. Stefan2 (talk) 11:52, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Miriam Waddington.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- File:Mondragon Roberto 1.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Based on the statement on the file information page, I don't think that derivative works are allowed. Stefan2 (talk) 12:08, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- It should be fine, as it's in the Public Domain - see here, and commons:template:PD-LosAlamos - Alison ❤ 18:13, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- Hm, the first link is a bit unclear as it seems that some things aren't government works:

- File:Moondancephoto.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- It says that the permission only is for one Wikipedia article. Stefan2 (talk) 12:09, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:NCCARLogo.gif (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Dubious copyright statement. To be kept as fair use if unfree. Stefan2 (talk) 12:14, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Nepal Protest.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- File:Newatlanticlocks.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Permission only appears to be for the uploader and not for derivative works. Stefan2 (talk) 12:17, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

- File:Domkirke in Stavanger by Marianne F Pettersen.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
Looking at File:Norway Notodden Heddel Stav Kirke by Marianne F Pettersen.jpg and some other files, one could interpret the e-mail to mean that the uploader only has requested permission for Wikipedia, which is unfortunately insufficient. The statement at File:Klukstad altarpiece photo by Marianne F Pettersen.jpg seems to confirm that the permission only is for Wikipedia. --Stefan2 (talk) 12:31, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:NutTreeFuture.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- File:NutTreeSign.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- File:OAS Laureano Gómez.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- The permission statement only permits non-commercial use and probably doesn't come from the copyright holder. Stefan2 (talk) 12:39, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Pattycannonhouse.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- The permission only seems to be "for teaching or for personal study or research" and it is unclear if you are permitted to modify the image. Stefan2 (talk) 13:04, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Pipe Creek Sinkhole.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- According to the text on the file information page, the permission only seems to be for a single Wikipedia article. Stefan2 (talk) 13:15, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- What issue specifically needs to be addressed? The creator of this image, Ed McDonald, died in February. He definitely wanted the image used for the Pipe Creek Sinkhole article, and I don't think that he would have objected to its use for any legitimate scientific or educational purpose or in other Wikipedia articles. -- Cuppysfriend (talk) 23:22, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- The problem it is not enough to have permission to use it on Wikipedia, or even for legitimate scientific or educational purposes. Wikipedia requires that material be licensed such that it may be used by anyone, for any purpose, including commercial use. Please see WP:COPYREQ for details. —RP88 (talk) 00:11, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

- It says that "This image (or this Media) is copyrighted. The copyright holder allows anyone to use it for any purpose, provided that you may not claim that you took the photo yourself" but it also says that the image is used under fair dealing provisions in British law, which is contradictory. Stefan2 (talk) 13:41, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Reeves Corner.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Commons:COM:FOP#United Kingdom doesn't apply to signs like this. Stefan2 (talk) 13:41, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, and I noticed that there isn't any permission from the photographer either. --Stefan2 (talk) 13:42, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- Unfree: "the creator must be notified of commercial usages". Stefan2 (talk) 13:44, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:MiJournal screenshot.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- This is a screenshot or promo material for an app, not necessarily something the uploader can re-license. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:49, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Sabine Appelmans.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- The permission only seems to be for the uploader, not for anyone else. Stefan2 (talk) 13:52, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Sacred Pushkar Lake.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- File:Santa-xenu.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- The wording "copyrights granted to Wikipedia" suggests that the permission might be Wikipedia-only. Stefan2 (talk) 13:55, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

- Non-commercial restriction, possibly {{PD-ineligible}}. Stefan2 (talk) 14:04, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Spode Platter Aesop.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
My mistake was to load the file onto Wikimedia Commons. I have reloaded it to English Wikimedia under a different name and will make the appropriate change on the article page. Mzilikazi1939 (talk) 19:04, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- Don't do that! When you upload a duplicate image like this, we will just have to delete the most recent image so that we don't lose the original image history and so that we don't keep multiple copies of it. --Stefan2 (talk) 19:59, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Stillwaterpreschurch.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- File:Sunset Line.JPG (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Wikipedia-only permission. Might be ineligible for copyright. Unused without foreseeable use. Stefan2 (talk) 14:30, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- Permission is only for reproduction, not for modification. Stefan2 (talk) 14:37, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:EECTF Logo.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Logo, Not necessarily uploaders to re-license Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:10, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Château Batailley.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- This is a wine label, and not necessarily mine to uploaded. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:17, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- This is an image of cover art. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:18, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- Certainly is. Photographed by me. With permission from Esben Roos Svendsen, who runs the label. I work on this article to improve it, hoping to get that nominated-for-deletion banner removed asap. This label is important in the punk and garage scene in Fredrikstad, and elsewhere too. Its documentation is very much needed.--Mc peko (talk) 15:34, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Scottsdale-Stillman Park 20 -Scottdale Model Railroad Club.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- The subject of the photo is probably copyrighted; see Commons:COM:FOP#United States. Stefan2 (talk) 20:36, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- I don't understand. How can the subject in the photo which I took be copyrighted when it is a display of various of toy trains at the park? These are layouts which aren't even copyrighted. The picture is focused on the displays and not on the building nor it's interior. Tony the Marine (talk) 00:58, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- You can't always take photos of things in parks (see e.g. Korean War Veterans Memorial#United States postage stamp court case). Someone made the railway system. As we are talking about toys, it's not utilitarian either, see Commons:COM:TOYS. You can take photos of constructed buildings which are visible from public places (see s:United States Code/Title 17/Chapter 1/Section 120), but I don't know if this also applies to toy houses. --Stefan2 (talk) 13:01, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- Keep - 1. In regard to Korean War Veterans Memorial#United States postage stamp court case - he picture in question is not of a Design and construction, Memorial, Troop statistics or United States postage stamp.
2. In regard to Commons:COM:TOYS. The toys in question do not have a visible trademark and the toys are barely distinguishable themsleves.
Now, this is my opinion. Let's let someone with true knowledge of the subject tell us what is what. Tony the Marine (talk) 19:01, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- Commons:COM:FOP#India doesn't apply to text. Stefan2 (talk) 21:17, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Clouds.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Two files in one. Upload by User:Pramod sao has unknown source and copyright status. Stefan2 (talk) 22:04, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- Two images in one. The one by User:Rantanplann is unsourced and unlicensed. The other one can probably be kept. Stefan2 (talk) 22:48, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- File:Klein.jpg (delete | talk | history | logs).
- Two files in one. The current one is a derivative of something made by glass which probably counts as an artwork. Stefan2 (talk) 23:05, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
- Two files in one.
- Probably copyvio, see http://newindianexpress.com/cities/chennai/article1438348.ece (earlier but only shows a part of the photo).
- Same uploader and web resolution, so maybe copyvio too. Stefan2 (talk) 23:09, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
