శివశక్తి పాయింట్ (ఆంగ్లం: Statio Shiv Shakti), భారతీయ అంతరిక్ష పరిశోధనా సంస్థ (ఇస్రో) మూడవ చంద్ర మిషన్ అయిన చంద్రయాన్-3 చంద్రునిపై దిగిన చోటుకు పెట్టిన పేరు. మిషన్ ల్యాండర్ విక్రమ్, రోవర్ ప్రగ్యాన్ 2023 ఆగస్టు 23న చంద్రుని దక్షిణ ధ్రువం నుండి 600 కి.మీ దూరంలో దిగాయి.[2] [3] [4] దీంతో భారతదేశం చంద్రునిపై విజయవంతంగా సాఫ్ట్ ల్యాండింగ్ చేసిన నాల్గవ దేశంగా అవతరించింది. అలాగే, చంద్రుని దక్షిణ ధ్రువంపై దిగిన మొదటి దేశంగానూ అవతరించి గుర్తింపు తెచ్చుకుంది.[5] 2023 ఆగస్టు 26న బెంగళూరులోని ఇస్రో టెలిమెట్రీ, ట్రాకింగ్, కమాండ్ నెట్వర్క్ (ISTRAC) ప్రధాన కార్యాలయంలో ల్యాండింగ్ సైట్కు ఆ పేరు పెట్టారు.[6] ఇది 69.367621°S 32.348126°E నిర్దేశాంకాల వద్ద, మంజినస్ సి, సింపెలియస్ ఎన్ క్రేటర్స్ మధ్య ఉంది.
భవిష్యత్తులో ప్రయోగించే చంద్రయాన్-4 కూడా ఈ బిందువు దగ్గరే ల్యాండ్ అవుతుందని ప్రతిపాదించబడింది.[7]
నేపథ్యం
[మార్చు]శివశక్తి అనే మాటను హిందూధర్మంలో చంద్రునితో సంబంధం ఉన్న దేవతలైన శివుడు, పార్వతి దేవి పేర్ల నుండి తీసుకున్నారు.[8]
2023 ఆగస్టు 26న బెంగళూరులో ఇస్రో శాస్త్రవేత్తలతో సమావేశమైనప్పుడు భారత ప్రధాని నరేంద్ర మోడీ ఈ పేరును ప్రకటించాడు.[9] ఆయన, ఈ సందర్భంలో మహిళా శాస్త్రవేత్తలను ప్రత్యేకంగా అభినందించాడు.[10][11]
2024 మార్చి 19 న ఇంటర్నేషనల్ ఆస్ట్రనామికల్ యూనియన్ వర్కింగ్ గ్రూప్ ఫర్ ప్లానెటరీ సిస్టమ్ నోమెన్క్లేచర్, చంద్రయాన్-3 విక్రమ్ ల్యాండర్ ల్యాండింగ్ సైట్ కోసం స్టాటియో శివ శక్తి అనే పేరును ఆమోదించింది.[12][13][14]
