[మార్చు]ఈమె కుటుంబం న్యూజిలాండ్లో స్థిరపడింది. ఈమె ఆక్లాండ్ విశ్వవిద్యాలయంలో ఫార్మసీ, ఫిజియాలజీ చదివింది. న్యూజిలాండ్ టెలివిజన్లో కొన్ని కార్యక్రమాలలో పాల్గొంది. 2005లో ఫెమినా మిస్ ఇండియా వరల్డ్గా ఎంపిక అయింది. తరువాత కొన్ని పబ్లిక్ కార్యక్రమాలలో పాల్గొంది - 2005 తానా సభ, డెట్రాయిట్, న్యూయార్క్ హిందూ సమాజం టెంపుల్ ప్రోగ్రాము వంటివి. ఈమె 2005లో చైనాలో జరిగిన మిస్ వరల్డ్ అందాల పోటీలో సెమీ ఫైనల్కు చేరింది.[2][3][4]
