హర్యంకా రాజవంశం పురాతన భారతదేశ సామ్రాజ్యమైన మగధలో మూడవ పాలక రాజవంశం. మొదట్లో రాజధానిగా రాజగృహ ఉండేది. తరువాత ఉదయిన్ పాలనలో ఇది భారతదేశంలోని ప్రస్తుత పాట్నాకు సమీపంలో ఉన్న పాటలీపుత్రకు మార్చబడింది. బింబిసారుడు రాజవంశం యొక్క ప్రధాన స్థాపకుడిగా పరిగణించబడుతున్నాడు. బౌద్ధ గ్రంథం, మహావంశం ప్రకారం, బింబిసారుడిని అతని తండ్రి భట్టియుడు పదిహేనేళ్ల వయస్సులో రాజుగా నియమించాడు. ఈ రాజవంశం తరువాత శిశునాగ రాజవంశం పాలించింది. హర్యంకా రాజవంశం యొక్క పాలనా నిర్మాణం పురాతన గ్రంథాలలో ప్రస్తావించబడింది. గ్రామ సభలకు నాయకత్వం వహించిన గ్రామ పెద్దలు (గ్రామపెద్దలు), కార్యనిర్వాహక, న్యాయ, సైనిక విధులు నిర్వహించే మహామత్రులు (ఉన్నత స్థాయి అధికారులు) గురించి ఇందులో ప్రస్తావించారు. చారిత్రాత్మకంగా, ఈ కాలం క్రీస్తుపూర్వం 517/516 నుండి మొదటి డేరియస్ పాలనలో సింధు లోయను అచమెనిడ్ జయించడంతో కలిసి వచ్చింది.[6]
