ఎలక్ట్రాన్

క్రూక్స్ ట్యూబ్ ద్వారా మొదటిసారిగా చేపట్టిన పరిశోధనలు. ఈ ట్యూబ్ ముందు భాగంలో ఆనోడ్ ప్రొజెక్ట్ చేయబడినది.

ఎలక్ట్రాను (ఆంగ్లం electron) అనేది అణువు (atom) లోని కేంద్రకం (nucleus) చుట్టూ పరిభ్రమించే పరమాణువు (sub-atomic particle). ఋణాత్మక విద్యుత్ ధర్మం కలిగి వుంటుంది. దీని గరిమ (mass) ప్రోటాను గరిమలో 1836-వ వంతు ఉంటుంది. ఒక అణువులో ఎన్ని ప్రోటానులు ఉంటాయో అన్ని ఎలక్ట్రానులు ఉంటాయి.
