జైరా వసీమ్ జమ్మూ కాశ్మీర్ రాష్ట్రానికి చెందిన హిందీ సినిమా నటి. ఫిల్మ్‌ఫేర్ అవార్డు, జాతీయ చలనచిత్ర అవార్డుతో సహా అనేక ప్రశంసలు అందుకుంది. 2017లో ప్రధాన మంత్రి రాష్ట్రీయ బాల్ పురస్కార్ (గతంలో అసాధారణమైన విజయానికి జాతీయ బాలల పురస్కారం)తో సత్కరించబడింది.[2][3]

జననం, విద్య[మార్చు]

జైరా వసీమ్ 2000, అక్టోబరు 23న జాహిద్ - జర్కా వసీమ్‌ దంపతులకు జమ్మూ కాశ్మీర్ రాష్ట్రంలోని శ్రీనగర్ లోని కాశ్మీరీ ముస్లిం కుటుంబంలో జన్మించింది.[4][5] తండ్రి శ్రీనగర్‌లోని జె&కె బ్యాంక్‌లో ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ మేనేజర్‌గా పనిచేస్తున్నాడు, తల్లి ఉపాధ్యాయురాలు. శ్రీనగర్‌లోని సోన్వార్‌లోని సెయింట్ పాల్స్ ఇంటర్నేషనల్ అకాడమీ నుండి పదో తరగతి పూర్తిచేసింది.[6][7]

సినిమారంగం[మార్చు]

2016లో క్రీడా నేపథ్యంలో వచ్చిన దంగల్ సినిమాలో యువ గీతా ఫోగట్ పాత్రతో సినిమారంగంకి వచ్చింది. ఈ సినిమా ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా ₹2,000 crore ( US$300 million ) కంటే ఎక్కువ వసూలు చేసి అత్యధిక వసూళ్లు చేసిన భారతీయ చిత్రంగా నిలిచింది. ఈ సినిమాకు ఉత్తమ సహాయ నటిగా జాతీయ చలనచిత్ర అవార్డును అందుకుంది. తర్వాత 2017లో వచ్చినసీక్రెట్ సూపర్‌స్టార్ సినిమాలో ఔత్సాహిక గాయకురాలిగా నటించింది, ఈ సినిమా మహిళా కథానాయికతో అత్యధిక వసూళ్ళు చేసిన భారతీయ చిత్రంగా నిలిచింది. ఈ సినిమాకు ఉత్తమ నటిగా ఫిల్మ్‌ఫేర్ క్రిటిక్స్ అవార్డు అందుకుంది. 2019లో ది స్కై ఈజ్ పింక్ సినిమాలో చివరిసారిగా నటించింది. ఈ సినిమాకు ఉత్తమ సహాయ నటిగా ఫిలింఫేర్ అవార్డును అందుకుంది.

పదవీ విరమణ[మార్చు]

తన మత విశ్వాసాలు, విశ్వాసాలకు విరుద్ధంగా తన నటనా వృత్తిని నిలిపివేస్తున్నట్లు 2019 జూన్ 30న వసీమ్ ప్రకటించింది.[8][9] 2020 నవంబరులో వసీమ్ తన జీవితంలో కొత్త అధ్యాయాన్ని ప్రారంభించడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నందున సోషల్ మీడియా నుండి తన ఫోటోలను తీసివేయమని అభిమానులను అభ్యర్థించింది.[10]
